I also have the switchfire and active exhaust for a couple of years. Cold start in normal mode went from about 85db to 95db. Track mode is certainly louder but I don’t notice any drone at any rpm in any mode. I enjoy the sound much better than stock.
Good lord that is 10x louder, is it obnoxious? I am looking for some kind of x-pipe but personally I find the stock AE pretty loud as is.

Everything I find really jacks up the volume.

I promise you’ll be super happy with the switchfire. It’s not obnoxious at all. Only Slightly louder than stock but much smoother sounding.
I absolutely love it and so many comments about it.

Normal mode, to me, sounds about as loud as sport was with the stock resonator. Quiet is still quiet, though. It really sounds good, though.

85db to 95db is about 12% louder not 10 times.

I think that might be incorrect, every 3dB is a factor of 2. So 88dB is already 2x as powerful as 85dB.
If you convert them to ratios and then divide the ratios you get the real power increase:
85dB = 10*log10(ratio85) -> ratio85 = 3.16*10^8
95dB = 10*log10(ratio95) -> ratio95 = 3.16*10^9

(3.16*10^9)/(3.16*10^8) = 10.

In power yes. The perceived volume difference is 2X.

are you still digging the switchfire? I've had 3 midpipes on my car (ultimately back to stock), I love the active exhaust note... to me I feel like it sounds better than almost all the aftermarket exhausts... I just wish it was a little bit deeper, little bit louder. It's also critical that I can drive it quieter if want/need to. it'd be nice if the note was just increased a bit (sport+ is like track, track is louder)

I'm really tempted to pull the trigger, but dont know if where my exhaust was cut before is about the same as it would be for the switchfire.

I also really want to be sure I'd like it, because I dont want to eat ~500 bucks, if I dont like it, and cant easily sell it.

I've had the Switchfire for over 2 yrs paired with the Borla active exhaust. It's honestly one of the most unique exhaust notes I've yet to hear from the Coyote. My mechanic has 4 personal S550s and he was the 1st person to bring it to my attention. He said it's like his GT350 with more bass. I'm happy with it. I just personally didn't care for the raspy sound Coyotes can have especially with Corsa.( No offense Corsa guys! I couldn't afford it anyway.)
Overall I found what I was looking for.

I’m guessing the other pipes left you feeling a little disappointed?.
to me the H pipe doesn’t sound very refined.

the SwitchFire is equally as deep as the h pipe at low rpm and then sounds throatier when you get on it.

the cross over pipes help equalize the pulses between each pipe and will sound very clean.

you won’t be disappointed.
SwitchFire will be a direct fit for where you cut for your H pipe you won’t have any problems fitting it.

I had my tuner adjust my active pipe exhaust.
Quiet mode for me now idles at quiet and very low rpms. But gradually opens the more I give it gas. On the highway it’s amazing.

I'm still enjoying the Switchfire. I'm been thinking about getting the Borla touring to sport active axle back to pair up with it. the stock active mufflers do sound good, but on cold starts and when heavy on the throttle above 5k RPM have a raspy tone I'm not a fan of.

I still love the switchfire. All modes are a little louder than the original active exhaust.
