Are you sure you had the SwitchFire clamped down properly?:
The streeda x pipe sounded wayyy worse than the SwitchFire.
I’ve tried them all didn’t like any of them with the active exhaust.
went back to stock for a short while which actually was the best sound.

but the only true way is to spend some cash and get a proper cat back exhaust. The Borla S-type is amazing. No resonator delete will ever match the sound of a cat back.
Definitely had the switchfire clamped down properly. Even tightened the clamps down a few weeks after the initial install to make sure this wasn’t the problem. To me, the switchfire actually sounded raspier and higher pitched compared to the steeda x which sounds deeper and more full. Don’t get me wrong it still has a lot of growl to it, but it’s actually more refined sounding than the switchfire (I know this seems to contradict with most other opinions but friends who heard the car in both configurations also agree the steeda sounds better). For reference, I had the switchfire on the car for a few months and it sounded good but I was always on the fence about changing something out because I wasn’t quite satisfied. However, I have had the steeda x for about three months now and have zero intent of swapping for anything else. I’m sure a dedicated cat back probably does sound better but the steeda sounds awesome and keeping the active valves is really nice too. At the end of the day, exhaust is all preference, just thought I’d share my feedback for those who are torn between options!

Should also be noted that I did not use the factory steeda clamps and opted for some higher quality vibrant double wall clamps to mitigate exhaust leakage and tip sagging. Had heard the steeda clamps were not very good and since the x pipe is a butt joint instead of a slip fit (like the switchfire) I wanted everything to be nice and snug. So far so good -no leaks or tip sagging!
