I will echo @***** here and say the Ohlins R&T kit is amazing.
I have been doing some reading about the Öhlins, but came across fitment issues with the RLCA spring seat not being perfectly round. I have a 2017 Ecoboost model, the kits mention 15-17 will this just fit on mine without issues?

I wonder if this is an issue with just the Öhlins spring adapter or with all coilover kits, like for example KW V3.

Why GT350 springs and not R springs? Is it the height difference?
Right. The GT350 is 10mm drop 211lbs/857lbs and GT350R is more. This is how my 2017 sits with the GT350 springs and 255/40r19 squared. In the rear I barely see a difference.. and the shop said they clocked the bushings. Its good bc the roads are very difficult here. I'm thinking about doing 275/40r19 squared to bring it up with 8mm sidewall and fill the wheel wells more.

edit: I think the drop isn't much in the rear because the GT350 came with staggered wheels and are a little taller in the back.

Do you need to trim the spring adapter or the RLCA itself? Was looking to do the install myself but don't know if I can easily modify the metal.

I saw your post about 2 leaking dampers and the warranty didn't cover this, was this solved eventually? You also mentioned that because of the fitment issues there is a lot of NVH?

Maybe the KW V3 is a better bet as those seem to just fit without issues. Or I'll just do my original idea and go with Bilstein B6 + GT350(R) springs or Eibach Pro kit, still undecided.

Avoid Bilstein struts with Ecoboost at all costs unless have very smooth roads everywhere... they are simply too harsh. I threw mine out and went with Koni Active that handle same but way more comfortable. Koni Active are OE replacement certified everywhere.

I think the 2017 RLCA is the same and it only changed for 2018+ cars. I don't know for sure but that's my best guess. The manual says it was designed for a 2016 Mustang.

I think bstar has a 2017 (blue pre-facelift) and had the issue but he seems to be removed from the forum for some reason.

When I'm up for a brake change this spring I'll look under the car and try to see if it's an issue or not.

I've contacted Ohlins if they can give me the dimensions of their adapter for the RCLA so I can 3D print something and test fit it before purchase, but so far no answer. If someone else has the dimensions or willing to measure feel free but it's probably a lot of work trying to get those when it's already installed so I'm not expecting an answer here.

Read this. Per Vorshlag, 2015-17 RLCA is compatible.

Was it a noticable difference between stock with PP1 springs? Not sure if it's worth it without the stiffer springs.

I don't really want the Eibach Pro kit because those are progressive springs and I'm told linear is much better for the track. Unfortunately those are the only street legal springs I can choose from without going with a coilover kit.

Yeah Ohlins themselves also claim 15-17 but here is another thread where OP has a 2017 and seem to have issues. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/ohlins-road-and-track-s550.120824/

Apparently the kit was designed on a mid 2016 model year car.

But I'll have to check mine to be sure hopefully I'm good here.

I found this manual on what needs to be trimmed, doesn't look that difficult but might be annoying while it is still attached on the car https://vorshlag.smugmug.com/Instructions/Ohlins-Install-S550-Mustang-GT/i-5msZkCG

His issue appeared to be due to factory manufacturing tolerances rather than the RLCA design. Correct me if I'm wrong. Why don't you look under there at the RLCA. If it's round like his, should be fine.

My stock struts and shocks had a lot of hard miles on them so you could definitely feel the difference. Might not be as dramatic if your swapping out lightly used parts but I'm happy with how they've performed. I've put aa many miles on them now a as the stocks and they are still solid.
