That is what I am thinking happened. I just want to find out if it's in fact a Level 4 with a billet 6th gear added, is it a new core and my previous guts, is it a new core and new guts.

I had 2,000 miles on my internals so they were decently broken in. I need to see if I need to do the 500mi break in again and change the fluid like the first time. I assume everything is on the up and up, but I have to ask.

Yup, standard practice. They usually have them all built up ready to go and take yours as the core. Same deal with RPM trans when I sent my C5 trans in. I got a new (to me) one all built and they took my core to use for a future build.

I'm not sure about the stripped bolt hole, but as soon as my "Dipped in Gold" starter arrives, we are going to throw it back in and get on the road soon.

The mobile tire guy will be at the house tomorrow to swap out my drag radial, and the new wheel bearing should be arriving tomorrow as well.

Hope it all works out for you . I bought a stage 2 about 3 years ago and its been perfect. My car is a Roush 670 hp and this trans has been light years from the trans that came in the car. Best of luck to you.

Thanks, I'm hoping for the best too.

Hopefully the starter comes in next week, and I can toss it back in.

Car ran 7 second 1/8 mile last Friday night and next pass it busted the yoke off of the single piece aluminum driveshaft:

If car would have hooked on final pass we would’ve easily ran a high 6
Dang! What driveshaft?

If all goes well The tranny will finally be back in the car tonight. Spoke to a local performance shop that has a hub dyno, and once I get a few miles on the trans and E85 in the tank, it's headed over there for some dyno time, and they are going to adjust my AMS2000 boost controller for me as well. I'm finally starting to get really excited.

Got the trans in the other night and I must say, a big difference from the first one I received.

Runs a lot smoother, taking off in first gear is a lot less jerky and much smoother engagement. It has not jumped out of first gear like it had before.

Decel’ing in gear before would be fairly noisy through the trans. That noise is no longer present with the new trans.

Overall, I’m happy for now as long as the trans holds up and no more issues. Even my wife riding in the passenger seat has mentioned the noticeable difference.
