Right, this could also change my mind on keeping my Corsa Touring AB with the stock res.
Yep! I think we're both just looking for the tonal change that this would give (and small flow improvement) vs. the pseudo crossover pipe that the stock resonator is. :headbang::cheers:

Still waiting on a response from Solo on their 11" or 18" X-muffler mid sections, too.

I know we've talked about this in other threads, but definitely keep me posted!

After putting some miles on this setup I have to say I am so happy with it! Really love the deeper/cleaner note the resonated X gave me and being able to hold a normal conversation in the car. Highly recommend for folks with headers

:clap2: :headbang:

I remember thinking when I had my G8 if there was any way to use them as rear mufflers, that's how much I liked the tone too. Sadly with a dual inlet, it wasn't feasible.

Well I have 3" exhaust from headers back so it needed to be modified either way. I'm not sure if would have worked with factory exhaust as magnaflow claimed in another thread without modification. My original intention was MF 12599 which is their only 3" tru x muffler but it was massive at 5x11x22". Would have sat to low on the car and it was very heavy. The installer did modify my system to fit but the spacing wasn't off by much. Running 3" pipe up the the case with 2.5" internal x and 3" exiting case again. Install pics on page one if you can make them out. Should have used flash

11386 ordered! I should have it put in sometime next week in place of the resonator.

That first video sounds so good though :headbang: I guess I can see how driving with that daily could be too much.

Question, how would this sound on a stock setup to replace the resonator and keeping the stock mufflers?
