Sorry to hear... Dealing with some of these dealers just takes all the fun out of it.

I had one dealer that wasn't willing to take a deposit on a GT350 R that is on the way to them later this year.

Just means they are going to see who will cough up $25k adm

That is a Msrp sticker for a 2016. Maybe something changed on the 17.
Nothing changed. The sticker for '17 says the same thing.

Well that sucks. Shady dealers. I hope you find another one for a better price.

An Arizona dealer also fed me this crap when I was looking for an R. I thought it was BS then and still do!

Dude...you gotta fight this one. They're totally blowing smoke up your ass. Contact FordService on here and call your California dealer and have them lay some pressure down on your behalf too. Definately do as others have suggested and contact Ford directly via some means. You're too close to allow the rug to be pulled out now...
I agree. Since you have already placed a deposit and received a Sales Code/Order Number you now have the legal right to call BS. I'd consider getting a lawyer involved if they force you out of this deal. I think you have a good case to at least force them to sell you the car you both agreed upon, if not reduce the ADM as well.

Don't let this dealer screw you man. You've worked too hard for this.

Scumbags. I've had nothing but problems dealing with Ford dealers, especially when it comes to their limited cars.

As mentioned earlier, the dealer is full of crap. I bought my GT350 in OK and drove it back to CA and registered with no issues. Piece of cake. Dealer either ignorant or (more likely) trying to pull a fast one.

Sorry about you situation and good luck!

Contact Ford and give them a chance to straighten the dealer out.

Buy a Z06. GM actually wants their cars in people's hands. Let's see......Ford makes their best Mustang ever at $65k, yet it's a unicorn. They aren't Ferrari. Up the freaking production! Sorry guys.

PS-that dealer is definitely lying.

Yeah, I vote you need to fight this.

But at the same time, I've been expecting the same call from my dealer on my order. They are all crooks.

Maybe I'm not understanding. If might make sense for dealers to tell buyers this to break a deal when they get a better offer but why would they before they had a contract with you? I mean, all the AZ dealer had to do is say to someone looking for an R that what ever you were offering isn't enough; goodbye.

Sorry this is happening to you Grun. While I understand your frustration and just wanting to let it go, I agree with the others you should fight this. The R is a unicorn like mdmoore said...Impossible to get in most cases. Keep us posted. Good luck:headbonk:

You don’t want to know
Did I miss the part where the OP went back to the dealer and said, "You have bad information on the emission laws, so we still have a deal" - or did he just give up?
