first, let me clarify that the dealership replaced the clutch. :) i'm waiting for the dealership to confirm they performed the crank relearn procedure.
Did the dealer install a factory replacement clutch or something different?

they installed factory replacement parts (slave cylinder, clutch, flywheel).

Service advisor said they performed the crank relearn process. At this point, I'm hoping it's a harness, plug, coil or sensor. I also requested that they get a Ford ESC to assist with troubleshooting.

Update: according to the local dealer the engine is toast. No details as to how they came to that conclusion. I’ll go there tomorrow and talk to the “specialist”

Which puts me quite far up sh*t’s creek since the car being in Europe, Ford Europe won’t warranty it.

If I understand the warranty booklet correctly, I will need a U.S. dealer to help me push the warranty claim reimbursement. I’ve called the dealer that sold me the car (Katy Ford in TX) and am on the phone with Ford Performance at the time of writing.

Any insight anyone has on this process would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully the process of having the warranty claim process fulfilled will go smoothly for you and you’re back on the road in no time.

Spent 30 minutes mostly on hold with Ford Performance. Dead end.

To tell you that your expensive Ford Shelby has a bad engine and provide no explanation as to how they arrived at that conclusion is pretty crappy.

Still under warranty as far as year/mileage? I don't see how they wouldn't cover it.

What year is it?

I bought the car Jan 2021 and it’s got 12xxx miles on it. So still within warranty period.

The problem is that I bought and titled the car in the US before moving to Europe for work and taking the car with me.

Still under warranty as far as year/mileage? I don't see how they wouldn't cover it.

What year is it?

If that turns out to be the case, thats complete bs. What would it take to ship it back to the US and have the work done? I have no idea how bad shipping is to and from Europe.

I sure hope you get something worked out, but if not I think I’d ship it back to the States and have it fixed. Best of luck man, feel for ya.

$8-10k roundtrip

Sucks, but sounds like the same defect that's killed dozens of these gen 2 motors. Valve drop I'm assuming

Thats terrible. Too bad that Ford won't let the local dealer interface with a US dealership to get the engine replaced. Maybe you'd be on the hook for shipping new engine and defective engine back to the states. But that would be better than shipping the car back and forth. Hopefully someone at the dealership you bought it from has connections with the right person at Ford.
