At 6000km on my 17R it looks like all of the bumpers will just fall off at some point. I am going to bring it in for warranty but I need to get through next weekends track day first.

It's a known problem with yellow GT350's
with ALL S550.

I luckily did not have any paint issues with my 17. My rear bumper was perfect for the first 3 months of ownership. Then I noticed it was starting to sag. It looked about like yours when I sold it.
this is very true. if ok off the lot it still can occur after a couple 100 miles of driving.

It's a problem all mustangs seem to have. Ford has decided not to address it.When somone spends over $58K they expect better. When someone spends $20K they don't notice. That's the problem Ford has with the mustang but after 3 years has ignored it. Ford has come a long way compared to imports. But is not there yet. Old habits are hard to break.
nailed it. they have not fixed the issue. these bumpers are still attached the same way and still vulnerable for failure like this.

Some people don't like to admit it, but you get what you pay for, especially in the world of cars. So while a $60K GT350 may have similar performance to, say an $80K M4 or C63, you will get no where near the build quality and refinement of those cars.

I think most here admit that. And it is true a BMW let's say will give you better panel fitment but unfortunately not much else nowadays. It is a choice in the end.

The problem with the Ford issues is that they do not really fall into the 'refinement' category. We are talking about a back to the basics things like bumpers and doors and fenders that are not right from the factory. This is not ok even on a 20K car in the end.

I agree the quality of an M4 or C63 will be better. The question is if build quality is worth twice the price. The M4 just got spanked by a 6th gen SS in all performance categories except braking according to the latest MT review. The GT350 beat the ZL1 in a subjective test with MT which tells me the GT350 would also wipe the floor against an M4. Quality is certainly important but at what price?
