Have had CEL p0308 come on 3 times now. First time changed spark plugs, then dealership updated PCM, now I’ve pulled the intake manifold. The flaps on passenger side easily open when I depress actuator. The flaps on the driver side will open but I have to fully depress the actuator to get a little movement. Is this normal or should I go ahead and get a new intake?

Sounds like a new intake to me. The gt350 intake is a drop on replacment as long as you use an adapter to make your throttle body fit. These intakes don't break imrc rods.

Was leaning towards the 2018 intake. Is there much difference as far as install and longetivity?

It's a good place to start. Take the actuator pod off, and then try to operate the shaft by hand. It may be broken.

Most lockout the 18 mani. I've never driven one locked out that didn't have some kind of off idle stumble.

YMMV

I went with a 2018 manifold. If you want to keep it, I think the IMRC system is a bit different and requires a tuner that wants to deal with it, as well as adapting the IMRC wiring to the gen2 cars.

I just took the actuator pods off of the back of the 2018 mani, and ziptied the IMRC levers into the full open position. Tell your tuner that the IMRC is locked out and the 2018 is pretty much a direct swap. No wiring to worry about and the same throttle body works

Not on mine. runs for comparison like stock.

I've only driven the autos and all had a slight stumble. Not bad but I don't like it. The manuals might get covered up by the clutch.

Please humor me since I’m new to tuning…I now have a gen3 intake manifold on a gen2 motor. We locked out the IMRC. The tuner got it to run well when locked out but I’ve got an engine light and a P2008 code. I cleared the temp codes but the perm one is still there. How can I prevent the P2008 code? I don’t want an engine light on forever.

Who is your tuner? That doesn't seem correct. When tuned correctly you shouldn't get a check engine light at all

Thanks. Yeah, he replied this morning and said he can fix it. I just don't know anything about tuning so thought I would ask y'all to see what I should expect.

The TB won't work on a gen 2
