I’ve advocated this massage since day one.I can tell you know I wish I would've gotten the the 5.2 mani. I feel there's more options and robustness to it the 18+.
I have definitely decided on the 5.2 intake. CJ pp is actually having a really good sale on the PP3 right now…….just a matter of pulling the trigger, which im pretty certain im going to do. I can live with the Ford tune as well, because i’m pretty much done after that, i don’t think i’ll really mod the car where “down the road” tunes will be needed. I really like the power the car has now, so i’m convinced the PP3 will be a good landing spot for me. I might eat my words if i find out that say, 47lb injectors would get me another 15HP LOL. (Don’t think they are needed unless going FI, which i’m not!) Thanks for all the advice, you guys are great! You definetly don't want to IIRC out. I've had them locked out on my car for 5 years now and I still complain about the lost of low end torque. If you have a tuner that can't deal with them. move on to someone else. These cars and combinations have been out long enough now that GOOD tuners no exactly what to do. I've just been to lazy to deal with mine. I really debated between the 18+ and 5.2 mani when I did it. I can tell you know I wish I would've gotten the the 5.2 mani. I feel there's more options and robustness to it the 18+.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.
17 GT CS 6r80 3.15 gears.
They will get you another 35 to 40 if you also use E85.47lb injectors would get me another 15HP LOL.
Yes sir, both readily available all day long. The killer is going to be waiting on the install for a few months. Too cold here in the northeast and no garagePP3 is a pretty good tune. Just remember to only use 91 octane preferably 93 if your area has it.
I was going to say the same thing. You have to have 47lbs for E85. I picked up about 27 on a E85 Flex Tune. I drive my car all year, so I didn’t want to mess around with a dedicated E85 tune. They will get you another 35 to 40 if you also use E85.

I have e85 in the area, i just don’t want to get that far into modding the fuel system though. I know how i am, (and like most are here i’m sure) power being like crack, i don’t know where it would ever end with meI was going to say the same thing. You have to have 47lbs for E85. Sounds like you’d be money and time ahead by going with just a Wengerd tune. Ford left more Gen2 tuning power on the table vs Gen3’s. Mostly what you’re experiencing is the Ford Powderpuff teams super soft NVH reduction efforts. You start with a cradle lockout, a stiffer trans mount, the shifter as mentioned and the car responds nicely. I have the GTPP and honestly it’s such a powderpuff ride I about sold it after my second month of ownership. Full Suspension upgrades, one pc DS, big non-bonded sway bars a street performance alignment and I started liking the GTPP.I have e85 in the area, i just don’t want to get that far into modding the fuel system though. Hell, years ago all i wanted was for my ‘70 Chevelle to be the good old 450hp LS6
