I don't know if you can get the JL Audio where you are...but when it comes to Subwoofers, JL Audio is very hard to beat.

Hello, so looking to do this nice little sound mod and looking to choose which sub to fit.
I will be using the stock amp at the start and maybe will upgrade the amp later on down the line. Which speaker would be a good choice?
I like the look of the Rockford, as would like to use it's grill.
P3SD4-10
But going through the spec, it seems similar and less powerful than the Pioneer
TS-A250D4
for an extra £100

Dont want to pay over £200 tbh, so any ideas would be great.

You'll be fine with the Pioneer - I really love the difference I got.

The Pioneer only comes with a bezel but you can perfectly fit the OEM grill and bezel on the Pioneer for the more original look. In my case I wanted it to look original

Would like to but the dual coil 4ohmn version is quite pricey.

Thought as much. I was trying to get away from the ugly stock look, plus I dont know if Im going to be able to get the ring out without breaking it.

Interesting part of a google search:

When everything is all said and done, the only real difference between a single and dual voice coil subwoofer is the number of coils, which means a greater wiring flexibility. The power handling, frequency response, box volume specifications, etc. will remain the same for both types of woofers (except in rare cases)

So would the JL speakers be ok running with the stock amp?
Do I just pick either pair of the original cables to use and nothing else?
Where is the original amp located?
I've seen people run power cables, is that because the original ones not large enough to deal with big amps?

do this, with any sub you put in that box. The sound difference will be 10x folded than the nearly 100 watts stock power to stock box.

JL10W0V3-4 - £100
JL10W1V3-4 - £200

Would the latter really be worth 100 more?

It’s 100 watts or around that. I’m just stating, for 100 bucks can grab a mrv-m500 (500 @ 2ohm) and toss that in there, it will be night day difference over 100 watts.

Wtf happened to amp prices? Mrv m500 I used to buy new all day for 80-100

now they are almost 200

damn stimulus greedy ass economy everyone’s jacking prices up on everything

Edit here’s best value out there at moment, 600 watts 2 ohm. I like alpine and jl amps
