and, again, why would you ask where to buy that morel for 600 when the OP is about pioneer for 50. you are literally asking about two speakers that have two prices. Buy the morel. you may like it. id rather have a pioneer for 50, than a morel at 600. at 600, you can buy a real subwoofer and closure.

At that price point it's definitely worth a shot. Not much to lose compared to dropping 600 for a speaker.

I think you are about to learn an expensive lesson. The stock sub enclosure running off the stock amp/dsp will never sound as good as a good subwoofer in a proper enclosure with amp, regardless of what sub you stick in it. We are talking subwoofers, not component speakers where Morel is a great speaker. If you want a better speaker, then buy the JL Audio W6 or W7 in a proper enclosure, and add a quality amp. Bottom line, if you want bass you can feel, then the stock enclosure can not provide this.

Lets just say I have a $275 10" JL Audio I bought for the stock enclosure and I have a 12" Kicker Comp R Enclosure $279 I bought, and finally was satisfied when I bought the 12w6 in an enclosure with amp. The Kicker is great for rock and techno music, as it is ported and can get very loud but I changed my music taste and the tightness (not loudness) of the 12w6 won me over. So, I have almost $600 in subwoofers that I am no longer using.

Yeah, I also looking at the JL Audio sub enclosure. Probably the best bet.

I just checked my Amazon history, and the sub went to like $100 shipped. Twice what I paid just a couple of weeks ago. But I think it's still a good buy at that price; it seems very well made. But to be honest, we don't need something that beefy for the crappy stock amp IMO. It sounds much better than stock though, so happy with the purchase, especially at that price .

Im sure it’s worth it even at that price. Like you
said you paid half of that just a few weeks ago. Knowing my luck I would buy it today and next week it will be on sale . I figure that if it’s changed it’s pricing by double in a month then possibly it could go back down again. Let’s see what’s happens.

honestly, even if you tossed this subwoofer in the stock enclosure, why not spend just another 100-200 bucks for a 500 watt amp, and run power to it? can still use stock signal wires. your are talking an hour of work. imo. worth it.

Just ordered a Pioneer TS-A250D4 10" from Walmart, $57 with taxes and shipping. This will be a nice afternoon project to get the sh***y B&O sound a little better
