I am in irvine. I believe the upcoming r7 has the front and rear arrows and that is about it.

I am on trip right now going up north and on 5N it works perfect. I did get a laser last night on 405N but couldn't or locate a cop.

But today I got about 5 Ka band warnings and all of the were spot on. Cop cars located after 3/4 of mile to a mile.
Thanks for the input! Did you order yours direct from uniden?

I have the escort IX on a blendmount. The GPS memory is nice to lock out false K/Ka signals. I locked out X.

I have a Max360 - Seems good but it falses a lot. I haven't spent any time trying to tune it or even updated it for that matter... It's straight out of the box circa 2017.

I've been using escort for years. I have a few diff models in my vehicles. for the the shelby its the Max 360. Will warn you for ka band at least a mile away and gives directional arrows like a valentine. my only complaint is its not loud enough.

Have you tried updating the firmware to see if it helps with the sound?

Looks good, the R3 is a great detector and the R7 has my attention. I run a 9500ci in front and a V1 in the rear. I've been running this combo for years and love it, but simplifying to a single detector that packs better range in both directions has me thinking.

I know that mount looks very nice. But I just couldn't justify spending $100 buy is excellent quality and lots of great reviews
It is nice but IMHO a big issue is that if you get stopped in an “iffy” situation where a cop may let you go with equipmet BS or failure to keep right, etc. that thing is right there like asore thumb.
Cops, by and large hate’em.....you’re screwed.
I use the same wiring but mount my unit up behind the mirror just below the tint line.
I have been stopped more than once and skated because it is a lot harder to see the thing from outside the car.

I've been using Waze for a couple of years now. It's a mapping app for your smartphone that allows users to make road reports (hazards, accidents, etc.) including reports of police activity. I get surprisingly accurate police reports along my daily commute. Admittedly, there is a lot of traffic during commute times, which increases your chances of other Wazers making reports, but so far I've been happy with the accuracy.

Here in Cali, we now use decibel readers along w/our radars.
As an CA expatriate, I do recall the days when sound issues were dealt w/by a 'fix it ticket'. Now, of course, CA needs the $$$. However, w/that said, it seems to me that the really big money makers for the state w/this enhanced sound enforcement would have to be Harley Davidsons. :like:

I've had the R3, Blendmount, and Mirrortap setup running for the past 6 months and have loved it. Only weird thing was a false laser alert in a shopping mall parking lot. I also run Waze just-in-case and I've only had one butt-pucker moment when a cop came rolling up behind me with no radar running. I slowed down and all the other fools around me kept speeding on and he just rolled past me. They can still get you by pacing, lol!
