Hey everyone,
I heard A commercial on the radio that intrigued me and so I googled it and to my surprise, they have been in business for quite awhile.

https://www.thearmadillodevice.com/

has anyone used this, are using it or for that matter, ever heard of them?

Literally doesn't work. There isn't even a chemical basis for it, you aren't somehow reducing the power of the NACL ions mixed with water by simply electrifying the chassis.

Pure snake oil would do better at fighting rust.

For $5.00, a can of WD40 on the underside and over any exposed bare metal will deflect any water or moisture and will prevent rust/oxidation. Not being sarcastic either, it does work.

Yep - these have been investigated, and there are reports and TV shows about 'em. Another way to get $ from psuedo science sales pitches. Had one from a previously enjoyed car, and when I eventually traded it, the sales guy wanted me to be sure to leave it in. Thought it would be a selling feature for the next unknowing buyer.

Back in late '90s there was a device that contained two strong neodymium magnets, which attached to the fuel line and was supposed to increase the power and to reduce the fuel consumption, on the grounds that the magnets would polarize the fuel molecules and would make them flow and burn in a more "orderly" manner.
Never mind that fuel has no magnetic properties whatsoever...
