Anyone else?

Every time i drive my car it sounds better and better. 37k miles. The butter zone is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit and a 60/40 mix of e85/91.

It's little disconcerting in that things seem to break right after they're fully broken in. lol

I've owned this car for almost 5 years with only minor issues.

Every time i hear one of those ghey ass pop tunes, i realize....

Am i alone?

So true, I absolutely hate those pop crap tunes. I wish I could tell them, hey your car might be loud but it sounds like trash. I will take a nice proper V8 sound over it no doubt. Mostly the BMW or other European horrible sounding 6.

I’m waiting on spring to dial in my 85 tune. Got the gas at home, but don’t want to open it and let it sit. Coming into winter, I don’t store it, but driving slows way down.

BMW and Benz guys ALWAYS ask me what tune is on my R when they hear the pops and bangs on the overrun (or on partial throttle deceleration) when they are eating my dust. I tell them its a Ford factory tune. And they are always surprised.

curious…does yours not pop and crackle on the low speed downshift?

mine does, and yes the VR4 crowd I used to run with would have paid serious money to get that little V6 to do the same

On deceleration while slightly applying the gas it sings like a song bird. I get occasional pops on shifts, but nothing like when i do it on purpose.

Edit: It sounds nothing like the forced pop the tunes give.

I get less pops on full e85.

Spend the money on the throttle body. Easy swap out. Easy swap back if you want to. I did that and the JLT Intake and it was plug and play. Big difference on e85.
