Anyone else really struggle with glass?

Old school method - clean once with glass cleaner and paper towels.

Go over the glass again with glass cleaner but substitute newsprint (or similar) for the paper towels.

Greg: I presume you meant the INside (other) of the glass. <smile> If so, I'm afraid that the only answer there is elbow grease, good towels, and lots of Invisible Glass. Fortunately, the inside doesn't get the waxes, etc., that the outside gets and in my experience, IG does as good a job as anything else I've tried.

I use Invisible Glass as well and it works great.

+1 for newsprint. I haven't used the method in quite some time but it does work.

Lower you back seats and go in through the trunk. It looks really silly but you back will thank you.

1. It took me many years of similar agony, finally arrived at a process that works. Note: it is critical to never dry your microfiber towels in the drier. They pick up all of the old residue from drier sheets. Just let them dry naturally in the sun.
2. Use a little bit of DAWN dishwashing soap in hot water. Immerse a clean microfiber towel in the solution, wring it out, scrub the inside of the windows. The DAWN will remove all of the out gassing that has deposited on your windows. Dry the windows with a fresh microfiber towel
3. Use Invisible Glass with plain packing/wrapping paper (cheaper and better than buying newspaper).

I just did this today on my son’s car, he is amazed!!

I use a glass cleaning rag to initially clean, and then come back over with a new microfiber and it does the trick for me.

True; That’s what the old mechanic used to tell me when I worked pumping gas and got my first car. Ahh, clean it with newspapers. Lol. It worked.

It was my wife who told me about using newsprint. She has absolutely no idea where she heard it from.

I think the newspaper thing has been around since glass and newspapers were invented. :-) That VERY rough "paper" is like two or three thousand grit and that cleans and probably helps polish glass I'm guessing. My Mother swore by the idea.

I used to use newspaper when I’d get the Sunday paper. Now I just go to Home Depot and buy a packet of wrapping paper. Two benefits of wrapping paper: less expensive and no more ink on my hands!

Never found anything better.
