I put 18 coats on my '13 Shelby GT500. I noticed that the metallic in the paint didnt seem to pop as much. A couple weeks ago I machine polished everything off the paint and put a coat of Collinite 915 followed by 2 coats of 3m Perfect-it Showcar wax. It now looks like it is glowing in the sun. I went to a cruise-in and someone told me it looked "spectacular". It looks the best it ever has since new.
Thats my experience with Liquid Gold.Some people swear by it but I wonder if they have tried any other quality products. I still have an unopened can.

I hadn't used it for a number of years. Put it on my black 550 after clay baring her... wow. Its my current favorite. Its been around awile, do some research on it. After I get a few problem areas worked out, I will put a number of coats on. Would have applied when car was new, but the "polish" word deterred me. Wish I had investigated, might not have these scratches and water marks.
