Anyone else having sync problems?

my sync black screens sometimes and then restarts, glitches, restarts then sometimes freezes on usb until i shut down the car and start it back up it is fine. tech at ford couldnt get it to happen so they held my car for 6 hours, then called me and told me they cant do anything...gonna try the fuse reset...

Same here... once it freezes like that I get no audio and cant use the radio, CD or hands free phone... Scary thought if that was to happen and then an accident occurs. I doubt the sync911 feature would work...

I unplugged the battery and let it sit for a few minutes. Plugged it back in and it did the same problem, was fixed itself after another master reset on the sync.

This problem happens at least once a week with sync. This week was the worst so far, having to actually unplug the cars battery.

These Ford peeps on the internet cant fix the problem for you...I sold my car since it was so annoying...LOL...

Bring back the Base Model Mustangs with no SYNC please so I can enjoy a drive with music...and so I can install my own system that works...LOL...

I have this issue also.

Unsure if its related or not but at times the screen will hang and not change from Bluetooth audio to Pandora which gets auto-opened (when it works). When this happens, I can't skip songs by hard control or MFT voice commands. So I try to switch to Pandora and there is no listed app in MFT. After that happens I end up going to radio or trying to fumble with my phone to play Google Music.

I have reported on this forum before about issues with SYNC and SyncApps. It just does not work well at all.

For example I have tried Pandora, Spotify and Sirius apps.
It forgets about Pandora almost everyday I get in the car and I have to use find apps to reinitialize Pandora. Then about a week ago it stopped being able to find it. I had Spotify and Pandora at first and when Pandora is no longer recognized and I hit find apps again on SYNC it then looses Spotify.
I tried the Sirius app also but I never could get it to work at all.

The thing is I have tried all the trouble shooting mentioned and this is now the second phone I am trying this on. A brand new HTC One M8... and SYNC behaves the same way with it. We should not have to constantly go through troubleshooting on a weekly or daily basis to keep this working.

Also I have seen other posts too mentioning this including the Ford Sync users forum. I am convinced it's a problem with SYNC because it is the same problems on different phones.

I wonder if anyone out there really has SYNC Apps working well and consistently. I doubt it. I think Ford should devote some attention to this issue and fix their software and offer a software update.

I've had the same issues you mentioned with my Samsung Note 4

One time the whole radio went dead for 15 minutes. Pulled over, stopped and restarted the car. No change. Before I arrived at home, the unit came back on. I did not have tools with me to remove the battery cable.
Has not repeated that symptom.
Other times, the music and/or navigation appear to freeze. This happens when the iPhone 5S (iPhone 4 did not exhibit the conflict) text message function is alive, even if it is in a "background" screen.
The Sync system goes into a call mode which turns off the radio sound. I have to go to the phone and close background windows. Somehow Apple believes that if you exit a screen it should stay open. Some people hate apples.

I haven't had any problems...but I only use Spotify. Only thing I ever have is once in a while I won't get streaming audio from my phone unless I do a quick source swap after first getting in the car, this doesn't happen if I just use bluetooth pairing, but I always plug the iPhone in USB (as bluetooth uses very lossy compression for audio streaming) and I think the initial handshake with it connected bluetooth and USB confuses it maybe depending on how quick I plug it up.

I have tried Pandora, Spotify and Sirius. Spotify seems to be the only one that works half way consistent. The car forgets the Pandora app every day so I gave up on that. The Sirius app has issues too...sync reports you are not logged on when trying to access...have to start it on your phone. I still think SYNC app link is a joke.
