Hey jbailer!
Did you turn notifications back on in your iPhone? Here are the steps:

Glad you got it working...
What dealer did you go to? As long as it's a Ford dealership, it shouldn't matter where you bought the vehicle.
I'm not sure what 2.7, 2.8, and 2.9 versions you're referring to but keep an eye out for SYNC updates. They are generally released every year.

Since the software is up to date and the reset didn't resolve the issue, I have to say the next step would be the dealer. There isn't a known issue with the iPhone6 or 6+ not being compatible with the system, so the dealer will need to take a hands on approach to this issue.

Hey All,
Try performing a master reset on the vehicle and then pair the phone back with a clean connection. Be sure to enable the text feature again. Keep me posted!

markbento,
The VHR feature isn't available on the base model. However, your local dealer will be able to check the info when you go in for visits. To share general ideas with Ford Motor Company on how we can enhance our products and services, please visit http://social.ford.com

Hey markbento,
Which SYNC system do you have in your Mustang: Basic SYNC (little radio screen) or MyFord Touch (touchscreen)? The Vehicle Health Report is available on the MyFord Touch system, and does work with iPhones and Android phones. Let me know which system you have and we'll go from...
I see. I would still check with your local Customer Relationship Center to see where the nearest dealer is. Check out this link: http://corporate.ford.com/our-company/country-websites

ArmyHawk and Chef jpd,
The maps are provided by a third party company, HERE Maps. They provide all updates and info since they're not downloaded from the vehicle or SYNC system. You can contact them at www.navigation.com or 866-462-8837 for any questions regarding that feature.

Thanks for the info! I'd have to imagine that pulling fuses and battery cables is a hassle, and that's definitely not a permanent fix. Next time you're at the dealer, advise them that you spoke to the In-Vehicle Technology team and that they need to reach out to their Tech Hotline. A...
brandonsmash,
Has the dealer reached out to their Tech Hotline? This is their next point of contact when a resolution hasn't been made to permanently fix the issue.

Chef jpd,
HizliBullet is leading you in the right direction. The VHR feature is not available on the SYNC 3 systems, but you can access Vehicle Health Alerts in the FordPass app.
El_Centenario,
Have you performed a master reset on the vehicle? If not, you can find the steps here...
