Not sure yet, haven't put it on since we've been fighting transmissions all year long but that's a debacle for another time. I would have to imagine the jones will be louder since it'll allow more air through.

@Det_Riot, if you have time, could you give us an update on this? Are you all happy with the Jones and how does it stack up against the magnaflow or Borla resonators?

Our Jones muffler worked out great. However it now would be no better than the magna flow option because they changed suppliers and now it necks to a single 3 inch internal tube just like the magna flow. Zero out of 10 would not buy

ugh. Does anyone know of another option? Isn’t the Borla 60661 an internal h pipe?

at this point, you’re basically better off running a traditional X fight and then putting a pair of resonators right after it, I found a few possible options to use instead of the Jones or magna flow that we’ve been doing some research on at my dads shop, but those have all been on back order so we don’t have any concrete examples or replacements yet

I also just switched to a 3 inch. Vbands on the catless leads to a MBRP 3 inch street catback with some 18 inch stainless bros resonators. Quiet at idle and cruise, very loud at wot.

Well … since it’s my thread and can not be accused of hijacking…. the story of this “other Gen 5 Whipple” has come to an end .


Engine(less than few thousand miles ) /built trans /10 rib blower with 6 pulleys /headers /driveshaft /ECU/Ngauge (with tunes ),gauges (fuel pressure /oil pressure/E85/oil temp /boost ) , fuel system and exhaust available as a package… but may consider part out .

Stainlessbros makes a really nice dual 3” in/out muffler that fits nicely in the resonator location. However, I thought since it shares a common packed chamber then it would function at least partially like an H pipe. I was wrong. I added and H just upstream and it got much quieter.

Pics from last successful outing in the car along with the Hellion car.
Had 3.375 pulley and picked up some mph but ET same as best I ran before with 10 mph less trap .

Ran 9.7 with shitty 60 . Hellion ran 9.4

Car was short shifting so I asked for tune revision and a first gear leave to try to see if I could get a better 60 .
Night did not end well … and let’s just say I am done drag racing

10 rib whipple set up with all the bells and whistles - added everything to a cart on lethal‘s website and came to $16K. Will come with 3.375 grip tech and 5 others . 3.75 10 rib whipple and several smaller grip tech and custom pulleys down to 2.75 .
Plus built motor/ Trans /CF drive shaft / fuel system/custom gauges /catch can .
$30k for everything or best offer .
Not really wanting to part out but will consider bigger items .
Also considering putting the entire thing in a Fox /race car/street build .if I don’t get close to what I want .

I won’t be drag racing it so would probably sell it .
