Does it matter if you are using the same key fob every time or grabbing the spare instead of the other? More so if you have programmed one key as the “my key”...

I always use my same programmed key. So, no. And no 1 else is generally driving the car so its not a last remembered position thing.

It’s not linked to a fob unless you link it, rtfm....

Linking a PreSet Position to your
Remote Control or Intelligent
Access Key Fob
You can save preset memory positions for
up to three remote controls or intelligent
access (IA) keys.
1. With the ignition on, move the memory
positions to the desired positions.
2. Press and hold the desired preset
button for about five seconds. A tone
sounds after about two seconds.
Continue holding until you hear a
second tone.
3. Within three seconds, press the lock
button on the remote control you are
linking.

Is this for the 18's+ or the s550 in general? Never knew about the linking the key with the seat position.

I did the procedure this morning. Tested 4 times and everytime worked perfect. I'll monitor how it works in the following days
Thanks @ RichBrew

Yeah, if you put it in accessory mode before starting it, it'll move the seat every time. Curious if starting it causes something to flip out.

I have been having more, than less, trouble with this the past month or so. I think that it may be linked to the start button. Sometimes I just kind of punch the button, other times I press the button. I have paid strict attention but am wondering if I hold the button a touch longer that I won't have the problem.

Alright dumb question time...

Is this a standard feature? I’ve got a 400A car.

Same as my 2019 Bullit, never had an issue with my Fusion

Mine will fail when I park on an incline. It was much better after I greased the screws with synthetic grease. It's been about 60k since I've greased it. I have 130k on mine, so the motor will last a long time.
