I think inflation is here to stay. It's hard to believe that new and used car prices will never go back to what they were pre-pandemic. Sure if you trade in your used car or sell it now you will get top dollar but you will give every bit of that back and then some if you buy a newer used car or a brand new car. It is simply fool's gold right now. I had strongly toyed with the idea of ordering a Mach 1 but I'm just going to hold off and keep my paid off car.

Same here. I was actually in the stealership standing beside a Mach1 decked out as if I had ordered it myself. All was good until I saw that +$7500 Fair Market Value adjustment sticker! I have a new found appreciation for my 2019 Bullitt and the title sitting in my safe!

That's exactly the way I feel. I have a 2016 Challenger SRT that only has 25,000 miles on it and has been paid for for several years. It's going to stay in my garage for the foreseeable future.

Speaking as a Challenger guy, I absolutely love the Bullitt. You sir have a keeper on your hands!

Just did a Google search. They do Rolls, Bentley, Maserati’s, etc. Bet they can do a decent job on a lowly Mustang.

I really like the Mach 1, but there's something about the Bullitt that is just classic mustang. I think you should keep that thing for a long, long time.

Definitely does. Yeah, wrap would be a game changer if they can actually make it look glossy stock velocity blue. Ultimately the main reason I want to switch is for an aesthetic refresh and this definitely would do it.

2016 vs 2018 not a huge upgrade for going back into debt for. I would take that $300 a month that would go to payments and upgrade the car you have.

I think you've talked me out of it. Couple things though:

• I have the premium already, so the bigger screen I was talking about was the new cluster display, not the big infotainment screen. (maybe even more of a reason to stick with this car?)
• Used car prices are crazy now, sure, but I feel like it's washed out if you're also trading in right now too. I'm not sure I could get $25k (or even maybe more?) for this car if used car prices weren't this ridiculous.
• I have an exhaust already. FP Borla catbacks. That's another thing, would've loved for the active exhaust for quiet starts in the neighborhood and, honestly, those 1-2 hour drives where I don't want to listen to the drone the whole time.

The wrap is the biggest thing I was thinking about. I think I'm honestly just kind of tired of the black look. I've been wanting the new GT500 bumper. When I look at black cars with it, it just looks so much less aggressive and noticeable than on let's say the velocity blue. I think I just need a bit of a refresh for my baby. I'm worried though, how good do you guys think a shop could wrap a velocity blue?

Nah, definitely want a whole color change. Black is so sleek, but I want something that pops a bit more and just some color. Especially so that that black accents look that much better on a color.

All I will say is IF you are good at haggl'n and can get up and walk away while looking at the car as you want it on the lot.
And not showing your cards by acting like a giddy 15 y/o while test driving it.
You might try to find the car ,"new", the way you want it, using fords web site.
It is the end of the year, and they are offering 0.0 for 60 months on new.
I am sure there are more than a few blue gt's sitting on lots.
You just might have to travel to go get it.
That is if you are stuck on a blue car.
Again end of year, haggle that atm(if any) away and Some off the msrp. through emails back and forth, but be ready to pull the trigger if they play ball. Tell um you are looking at Camaro's and Supra's also even if you are not.
Play a solid poker face/game and you could walk/drive away with A new blue stang for the same money you were willing to buy a 4 year old one.
play the game, of you don't NEED it, and Are meh about it. and if they want to move it will deal.
The trick is having a take it or leave it attitude .
I was evil. while the sales man and sales manager was "talking numbers" I was looking at local chevy dealers camaro's in stock on my phone. .
I also called a chevy dealer while the sales guy was at the desk, and told the phone op. to tell the sales manager I was running late, but would be there to test drive the Camaro.
I'm sure the chevy sales manger when She past on the message was like WTF, who is this..lol
I got the 5k atm tossed and a little over 6k off msrp when you factor in the 10 year bumper to bumper they added to make the deal happen, Cuz even with numbers that was 3500.00 under msrp I started to get up, and said I should get going so I can test that chevy.
It is a game of bluffs, and being willing to get up and walk.
I've learned that even when I've walked a few days later I get a call, And they are now shockingly within 100.00 of what they could not get near just days before..lol
All of this can be done through emails. so it is nothing but time you'll spend if they won't deal.
I flat out told them when they started with the chip mess and all that, that I am in no rush, don't really need it. and can order and wait, you have a car on the lot, you either want to move it, or you don't, I am fine with leaving without it. Funny after all that blah blah blah about limited stock, more buyers than cars, etc. they caved. why, because even if all they said was true, I'm in a seat in the dealership, and they can walk out to it and put a sold sign on it, now, not days/weeks from now.
I also showed up the last Friday of month.

ear plugs. If you can't hear it your neighbors can't either.
Or how about put the resonators back on? You did the obnoxious exhaust thing, surely you can still mentally revisit the ear aches on demand.

use tinted eyewear and your black car can be any color you like. $5 at the drug store.

Velocity blue wrap I haven't seen - try for Performance Blue instead and really piss off the GT350 people. Or use various colors and make a Swatch Car. Silver panel there, red here, yellow over there, draw cat whiskers, checker-board pattern and a pin-up girl and you've got your own WW2 P51 Mustang look.

In this market (you're in NJ) sell it outright (to AutoLendersGo or Vroom) and buy new. It's the only trade that you won't get majorly screwed on. Here's one for a decent price and you can probably come close to netting out. Who needs "premium" when you can Katzkin it for vastly less.
