in theory its a cool idea but there is a lot to the idea

- most active aero cars tilt the wing under braking
- linear motors or rack and pinion style electric motor? ( both need to support force created by air)
-manual control/ software intergration?
-need weatherproofing sealing

Hey Ihasnostang
Thanks for the reply
I am working on 2 versions one that just raises up with a push a switch i figured this one will be practical and also for the people that like to keep their wings lowprofile or if they are going on track raised it up.
I am using linear actuators capable of supporting the downforce created by the wing we will also have seals for water.

The second design will have dual actuators for raising and tilting at braking but that is a bit moore down the road i am just testing the waters to see if there is a market on the mustang world.
I want to make this affordable betwen 1200, 1500 for a complete system for the wing that raises up and down.
Thanks for your feedback.

I have an older s197 Mustang but I'm still interested in this as well (I would make it work lol)

If it works, actually does produce down force and/or braking force, is priced competitively, and won't harm the car in any way, then heck yes I would be totally down for one. This is awesome.

Roush does offer an optional Active Aerodynamic Carbon Fiber Wing, but I guess it is limited to the current 2020+ Stage 3 conversion?

No worries... there will always be someone else to pick up where it was left off. Today, that will be me!
Alright, hear me out. This has potential. It is still in the works, but it may be perfect if the price of wood comes back to a normal level.
I tried it on the Cayman since it spends most of it's time in the garage anyways:

This seems to be it for active aero for the s550, outside of the Roush S3 spoiler. Obviously not low profile as OP seemed to... rather ambitiously pose, but—still pretty cool. And pricey. I don't know how $1500 was gonna work for a hidden active aero system, when a surface mount wing is $3500...

Also the demo video sounds nice, for obvious reason.

I ordered the Victor wing a couple months ago. Supposed to ship at the end of Sept. Will see...so 3 month lead time at a minimum if anyone else is interested.

Will be interesting to mess with the settings once it arrives.
