Is it me or does a lot of the aero parts seem to be heavily way overpriced !!! Especially Hennessey's.... I left the import market 370z specifically to get a better bang for buck car cheaper to mod and im not seeing it as my authentic amuse kit fully made from Japan costed 8k that's fully custom front rear side panels not just addons and undertray EVRERYTHING !!! Not just some cheap ass addons for 8k(Hennessey) there's looks gorgeous along with rtr but seriously ??? Freaking addons for a gtr are cheaper than that and there carbon fiber addons being rear diffuser front lip side diffusers or whatever you call the under side skirt add-on . SOMEONE please explain the ridiculous mark up to me.

Coming from a G35 and 350Z myself, I know what you are talking about, however, this is a new car on a new platform. All of the sheet metal is new. There is a lot of time and money in R&D, making molds, and just producing cosmetic pieces, not to mention there isn't much competition right now for said parts. On top of that, companies like Hennessy have always been in the "luxury" aftermarket bracket. I get their newsletters every week and keep close tabs on what they are up to but i'd never buy anything from them. Their packages for any of the platforms they support are overpriced. All of these companies are going to try and set a price so they can recoup their R&D costs and start turning profits.

I think once you have more companies producing parts the competition will drive pricing down a few bucks but i don't anticipate the costs to modify the S550 to be any cheaper than any other popular sports car platform.

GIve the aftermarket some time to make back R&D costs, the price will go down soon enough. Happens with any brand new line ... R&D isnt cheap and first year after market is always the most costly.

Awesome ! Cause for a second starting to realize this is as costly if not more costly than import parts.

I wrote them over a month ago asking about some of the ground effects, with no response...I won't buy from Hennessey based on this...I really hate vendors who don't reply, even if reply is not what I want to hear.

'15 Race Red EcoBoost Premium with 20" wheels...
The '15 Mustang was designed to appeal to a more sophisticated buyer...

IMO...there will be limited demand for "Boy Racer" body modifications...

I don't expect to see many quality aftermarket body kits developed for this vehicle...just not enough demand...no monetary return to be made to offset the development costs...

Most of these parts & kits get discontinued after a few year...and if you need a replacement part due to accident damage...good luck with that!!

Agreed, Ford got the styling on this car right, besides a few small things like wings and spoiler lips, dont expect a ton of stuff like all the cheesy SN95 kits.

The '15 made a pretty significant leap in design and target market. A lot of ppl that never cared for the mustang before suddenly want one, myself included. That being said the market could open up a bit differently than it did previously. The aftermarket doesn't have much available yet due to the testing for what people are looking for with these cars. I, for one, would like a simple lip kit for this car. Something to make it more aggressive looking without completely sacrificing OEM fit. I am coming from a Honda civic Si myself and Honda produced both the Mugen factory lip kit as well as the HFP lip kit, that could be bought directly from the dealer and at a reasonable price fully painted (at least for the HFP variant, Mugen was much more and only came in one color).
