I made this spreadsheet for myself when I was tire shopping... I've posted it before, but maybe it will help you choose tire sizes. And yes, I am aware this is a little extreme, its part of being in IT, way too into data collection!
+1 on the IT thing, I collect way too much data lol

Why on earth would anyone want to use the OEM PP wheels. They are so heavy. My SVE wheel and tire combo saved over 40 lbs of rotational mass, made the car feel so much lighter on its feet.

I've never heard of a clearance issue (not that i've heard it all) and i can't imagine a 35 series would make a difference since it is usually the width that causes problems. I'm also not sure a 275 even fits on a 9" PP front wheel, it certainly wouldn't be the best choice and the shorter sidewall of a 35 series would probably compound the problem. The one thing I am sure of is that the PP wheels are insanely heavy and they have no place in a wheel/tire package designed with handling in mind.

With a 9.5" rear wheel used on the fronts I wouldn't go beyond a 275 tire. A 9.5" wheels doesn't fully support a 285 wheel, a 10" would be perfect for both 275 and 285.

Yea I know but the sidewall isn't fully supported. Also they don't make a 275/35/19 with that tire. I think that has a lot to do with it. BF Goodrich offers those tires to Ford, 9.5 is the minimum width for that tire. Also, the BFG tire is not that good of a tire compared to modern offerings from Continental or Michelin.

Here is the Tirerack test and it wasn't even against Michelin or Contis,

The OEM fronts are 9". I'm assuming they use 4 rear wheels because 275 on the 8.5" is a bit too much.
