Pretty sure mine went out today. 2015 with 42k miles.

Does anyone know if there is a recall or tsb?
Oh man. Please let us know if Ford covers this! I think you may have made it to the highest mileage yet with a failure.

If they do tell you to pay up, call ford directly and complain. Your other choice is to refill the system and trade it in

Guys, let's join forces here.

I've read in threads that Ford knew that evaporators manufactured in 2016 were defective. What is the basis for that?

Is there a recall notice from Ford or any other type of notice or written statement by Ford or a Ford dealer concerning defects in the evaporators?

The fact that they revised the part number is a telltale sign.

my car is done... ice cold a/c once again.. This time the part number was different then last time. Total job time was right at six hours for replacement, they also did the door latch recall as well. Now I need the steps on how to file a ford 360 form in case this happens once the car is out of warranty.

Part Numbers:
2016 - FR3Z 19850 R
2017 - FR3Z 19850 V

I call bs. No way did they properly take the dash apart and put it back together in 6 hrs... Not to mention your door panels as well. I bet they simply recharged the system. Sorry to by cynical but this isn't a 6hr job.

To prove their work, ask them to show you your old core as well as the box for the new one.

Already ahead of you. They showed it to me along with another one they just did. They had the car for two days, they stated it took six hours for core replacement. I've heard this number from another dealer on another thread before. Doubt they just charged it up and put on the paperwork it's changed. Too much of a paper trail and too much to lose.
