I keep seeing sound clips for this system on Instagram with people trying to hype them up, and all I hear is straight piped VQ mixed with 2000s civic.

Wonder if this guy/company knows he just lost an entire community? @TreeFiddyAre are you gonna provide all this feedback back up the chain? Refund?
Well... I’m doing my best not to completely bash this setup because, to be fair, the craftsmanship is absolutely top notch. The quality of the fabrication and attention to detail are honestly impressive.

That being said... the sound is just nowhere near what I was expecting. 😬

I think it starts to come alive above 6,500 rpm, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to really explore that because the car is currently fighting me with a P0300 code after the install, and I’m not comfortable leaning on it until that issue is sorted out.

As far as the resolution goes, I was offered the option to try the "Tri-Y" version, which would essentially convert the system into a more traditional exhaust configuration. The issue is the wait time would be until September, and honestly, that’s just not something I’m willing to do. I want this car back on the road, running correctly, and sounding like the Voodoo it was meant to be.

I’ve seen a few YouTube clips of other Mustangs with this same setup, and unfortunately they sound almost identical to mine in person — and it’s just not the character I was chasing. It’s hard to explain, but it’s missing that exotic, high-revving personality that made me fall in love with this engine.

Maybe I’m being overly critical because I had such high expectations, but when you spend this kind of money and time modifying a car, you have a vision in your head. Right now, it just isn’t matching that vision.

The search continues to get the TreeFiddyAre back to sounding as special as it feels to drive.

side note this is the sound you get :

Honestly by the looks of the total overall header tube lengths I’d wager the 8-4-1 is limiting the power peak to the 6,500 rpm range. Not exactly in the VooDoo or Coyote happy zone.
Are there any independent dyno tests on the 8-4-1 VooDoo combination ?
