The stock struts in my '11 had rubber caps on the threads as well.

I see, well I had the stock suspension off the car within a few days so I don't recall what the OEM struts looked like.

It's a classic retro piece, I mean, it wouldn't be a classic car without it.
Just kidding here - I thought about this a few years ago asking myself, why does my 2005 F150 have a pneumatic hood strut and not my 2011 mustang GT?

Did you read the very first post?

The coolant overflow bottle is different than on 11-14 models, this could just be one that was slapped in place for the prototype car use, it’s hard to say but it looks like it doesn’t belong here.

I know a little detail like that shouldn't bother me as much as it does (and it won't deter me from buying the car), but for Christ's sake, those things are like a few bucks a piece.

Prop Rod? You got to be kidding me.. please install struts Ford, even i have installed them on my 2008

No Cold Air Induction?? Probably 50% of GT owners from 2005 on have installed CAI including me... and I'm a Corp Finance geek... ha-ha

Love the car, sure hope some elements like the above will be tweeked before production

The intake airbox draws in air from behind the grille, the true definition of cold air induction and it has had that design since at least 2011. In fact, the factory airbox is likely to draw in more cold air than open element intakes(probably what you are confusing with a cold air intake) because the open element filter can ingest hot underhood air. Once the car is moving however that is less of an issue.
