Ford Performance Parts Announces Coyote Power Module Engine Kits

  • Kits include engine, transmission, electronic fuel injection, and select installation components
  • Available with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission
  • Available for order starting January 2016
  • For the Performance Racing Show the automatic Coyote Power Module is featured in a 1981 Mercury Capri displayed in the Ford Performance booth

The crew at Ford Performance has spec'd out a complete kit to simplify the swap of modern 5.0L Coyote power into just about any Ford vehicle.

The Coyote Power Module teams the Mustang GT 435 horsepower 5.0L Coyote V8 Tremec 6-speed manual or 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission - and all the electronics and hardware to finish the installation.

Coyote Power Module simplifies both the shopping and build experience by kitting up the right parts that are matched to deliver potent performance with civilized drivability. The engine control pack and wiring harness is truly plug and play and simplifies the conversion to modern electronically fuel injected V8 high performance engine.

The manual transmission Power Module 6-speed Tremec transmission starts with a 2.66 first gear to get this going quickly while still happy to cruise in 6th gear with its 0.63 overdrive ratio.

The automatic Power Module comes with the 6R80 transmission from the 2015 Mustang GT featuring a 4.17 first gear ratio and two overdrive ratios, .87 and .69.

This is an excellent idea! - for those who can stomach the 16g price tag, ouch! :eyebulge:

So if you buy that and a comp pack BIW I wonder how much it costs.

Noticed that as well, first gear is a good bit taller on the termec though so that's the trade off

I am at 13k for my Dart 331 that is sitting in my garage waiting to go in my 95. Still need bell housing, neutral balanced flywheel, clutch, couple other things like a possible stand alone FMU like Pro-M.

At this point I am tempted to sell it and go this route. At least the package has a damn good trans and FMU/ignition computer.

IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME! It only took them 4 years.
I hope they offer the individual parts so you can do it with used engine and trans out of a wrecked Mustang if you want to save Buck$.

Those power levels, while really nice, are on 101 octane with longtubes. We probably will see the 5.2 heads on the 2017 Coyote, but don't expect that huge of a power increase.

I agree along with different cams. Probally looking at 460-480ish but I think it won't be until 2018
