Searched the forum but found only 2 post discussion. I'm switching directions a bit. I'd like to have a 4 post lift that will accommodate the GT350 front splitter. I have plenty of space to open the door from either direction so backing the car in or to pull it forward won't be an issue.

I've done some googling but have not found one that I can trust to clear it. The other thing is... I don't want to add an optional ramp extension as I'm trying to not only have the 4 post lift but also have plenty clearance to use my tool set / cabinets. Which I think 2 ft of clearance is plenty.

I just put in a 4 post in December. With the large Ramps provided my 2018 GT350 had no issues with clearance. However in Jan I traded it in on a 2019 R and my first try loading nicked the front splitter good on both sides. My solution was to add these little $38 ramps from Amazon. With that I can clear without scraping. I will say the GT350 wheel base is wide enough that it stretches all the way across the width of the lift.

be interested to see what pops up in this thread, i used race ramps and extended ramps...and wood...on a bendpak HD 14 and it was absolutely nerve wracking pulling it on lol.

I get my car back tomorrow from getting clear bra’d. I’ll take some photos pull’n it on. Mine is similar to Svassh’s. I haven’t mounted my splitter yet but I’m pretty sure I had plenty of clearance. My 16 vert was pretty low on 20’s and had no issues.

If my 350 was going to be on the raised part all the time, i'd probably want the wider version of the lift, but I keep my '68 on top which is a much narrower vehicle.... If buying again i'd just get the wider version to make loading/unloading easier.

I'd also assume that if you lower the car or use 30 series tires at any point you will probably need ramp extensions with just about any lift you would buy.

I built a set of wood ramps for oil changes that are over 5 ft long to clear the spoiler on the rise. I found they matched up very well to my 4-post lift so when I put it on my lift I remove the stock ramps and use them instead. Still nerve wracking getting it on a standard width lift - I folded the mirrors in as there was just a couple inches clearance.

I agree with everthing jmn444 says above. I have the greg smith pro 9000 and my gt350 just clears but I still use extension. The extra width is better for sure.

I have a Bendpak HD-9 4 post lift. Neither my 911 or my GT350 could get up the stock ramps without taking the front splitter off the car. I had to buy the optional longer Bandpak aluminum ramps to get my cars on the lift. The lift is ok but but Bendpak customer service is the absolute worst. I would never purchase another Bandpak.

Are you guys bolting these four post hoists to the floor?
I have not bolted mine down, its very solid with the weight of a car on it. Plus most have wheels you can drop it down onto so you can roll it around empty.

no bolts for me either... it's designed to not need it and feels solid as-is. and I actually work on my stuff on it too... had trans and engine and diff in and out on my '68 wile it was on the lift... and currently have the 350 on it for suspension work... the slider jack makes suspension work easier too.... wish I would have bought one a long time ago now that i'm spoiled with it. way better than trying to do stuff on your back IMO.

No bolts. I have an old Autolifters which was American made/all certified - sort of a precursor to the Backyard Buddy. The Chinese lifts ran them out of business finally. I still have their tape where they rammed one leg with a forklift while a car was on top. Bent the leg under somewhat when the collar at the cross over bent from the impact but nothing fell.

Yes its always shocking to me that something this big and heavy is more price effective to make in China and ship overseas.

I have the advantage lift 9000 XLT. It's close but my 19 Gt350 spoiler just clears if I go slowwwww.
The only problem with the advantage lift is how narrow the ramps are apart. If I were to buy another lift I would definitely look at one where I can change from narrow to wide.
