Being our 3 states are Prius country, do you know of any neighbors or coworkers that drive Priui and perhaps park next to you?
There may be a stray Prius lurking your neighborhood with a great affection for big V8 muscle and may be secretly rubbing up on your car without you even knowing it.

I'm impressed by both the mileage and the price of gas over there...

In the Greater Toronto Area region, gas prices are about $1.03/l (and that's considered cheap here) so that fill-up would've cost me just over $60!

Problem is you can't really lie on the 2015. The trip shows how long you've been driving. I did do that to fuck with my friends on my 2011 though. :D
well you can... but everyone will know its BS. I did know my MPG went up after I put on the new exhaust still have the stock tune though. Whats the worst mileage per tank have you guys gotten? My "best" is 14 on my first tank of fuel haha.

I am sitting at 17.8 over the first 720 miles, my 14 V6 was sitting at 18.5 after 10k miles.

Of course this is because I can't drive the GT as hard as I could with the V6 :D

If I don't reset my mpg computer I average around 19-20 in my 6m 15' GT with 3.31's.
My 14 GT auto averaged about the same and my 12 GT with 3.73's averaged 17-18,
all with same driving habits and commute.

The mpg calculated by the car's computer is almost always high. Check out the mpg thread. Most of the time when people calculated by hand their mpg was lower.

This is my mileage after a short highway trip last week. I have a V6. That's pretty good, getting V6 mileage from a V8!!!

Not bad considering all the dam traffic you have to sit in....unless you drove in the middle of the night lol.
I don't do alot of highway, but I'm up from 12mpg to 13mpg

Right now I'm sitting at about 13.8 mixed average through my first tank. Gonna go for 12 on the next one.

15.9 with mostly city after 3,900 miles. Mileage improved a couple mpg with break-in. The car really hit its stride as far as performance at about 3,500 miles - drives and runs like a dream.

Calculate the actual and compare. Sometimes the dream-o-meter is wildly optimistic.....
This is very true. I reset the "Trip 1" every time I fill up, but have not reset "Trip 2" since I have had the car.

With about 6,300 miles on mine, Trip 2 shows a cumulative MPG of 23.6, while my hand-calculated (iPad app calculated) total is 22.3.

I have had 2 anomalies though. In one case, I filled up in Eastern Oregon (Baker City) and drove straight through to my house north of Portland. The trip meter showed 27.4 mpg - after being as high as 28.5 for most of the trip (the last 10 miles were city driving). However, when I filled up the tank and did the hand calculation, it was only 24.1.

In the other case, I was also driving west on I-84 to Portland, but that time it topped out in the 26 range on the gauge, with the hand calculated total in the mid- 22s.

Other than these two trips, my hand calculated mileage is pretty consistently around 1 mpg less than the display.

I have made the Portland-Seattle-Portland round trip about 10 times in this car now, and consistently see 24ish mpg (on the display) when I drive 70 in the 70 zones and 65 in the 60 zones. With the auto and 3.55 rear, I am lucky to see 22 if I am cruising at 75+.

Yeah Found that cruise control kills my mpg same trip I get 2-3 less with cruise control for some reason.

A few more trips. Beat my record of 29 with a 31.1 did the math it came out to 30.4 :( but then I hit the mountains and 85mph speed limits and it dropped down to 27. On average my highway milage stays pretty constant if i dont use cruise around 27. If i try and drive like a grampa I can get up there pretty good.
