Just curious to see what you guys would choose if you were only given these two options and didn't want to spend the money on a Gt premium w/ PP.

That is a REALLY tough choice since those are easily the two most important add-ons for me (and probably most people who got/want both), but since my Mustang is eventually (within a year or two) going to be mostly a daily driver accompanying a second, for-weekend-fun car that will see most of my track time, I'm going to go with premium over PP.

Base GT PP. I can deal withless gadgets if meant a car that performs better.

Premium. The aftermarket can replace the PP bits, but not the premium bits

Premium. Because I will spend 4+ hours in it everyday.

I'd have to vote for GT premium over a base gt w/ PP even though I'm not a fan of the premium base wheels and the lack of the center gauges.

Does anyone really see the benefit of the performance package if they don't plan to track the car? I would think if the car is going to be mostly used as a daily driver that the premium GT with out the PP would be fine enough for street use and wouldn't sacrifice the smoother ride.
That and I'd imagine the maintenance cost on the staggered wheels tires and brembos would be a bit more without getting the full use of them on the street as a DD.

I could be wrong though I've never ordered track packages on my past vehicles since I always use them as DDs.

I would also go Premium with no PP for some of the reasons others have listed. Daily driving duties are done DAILY. Hotrodding is done occasionally, and yes AFTERMARKET can absolutely help with GO FAST STUFF.

Great thread. I've been considering a 50th LE, but didn't really want the PP. This thread makes me feel better about not getting it. Thanks.

For me I really like the premium features, but the performance pack is really nice as well. It is still hard to say at this point because I haven't driven it with and without. I agree that some of the PP additions are easier to do aftermarket than a lot of the premium features.

The weird thing for me is that if you had asked the same question for the EB then I would probably said the opposite. I like that the EB gets the GT brakes and added performance to be a better handling car, but if I had a GT the performance upgrades don't seem as necessary.
