Thank you Stephen, I have always had a stick, and my order for the auto was mainly for my wife. She wants me happy, so the go get it and smile statement was all I needed. The cooled seats were a must, I really do not fit in the Recaros well.

I would drive it back, but the thoughts of rock chips on that black paint along with the cup 2 tires, if I run into rain have me a little gun shy. Some of you have stated the cup 2 are ok, but from what I have read, they do not like any water.

Yes, I will post up pictures when she is home.
cup 2s actually handle well in the rain, better traction than the super sports

when I drove the GT350 home in March, it was the freak snow storm in Ohio/PA that started after I flew in to drive it back...had no choice but to drive it the 600 miles back to VA in the non-stop snow. did okay with the cup 2s until it got to about an inch of snow/slush, then I got sidelined twice until enough cars passed to clear out a tire track in the road then I was back at it... worst first drive ever, but none the less, the tires did survive

Congratulations on your Mach.

Just for some context. In 2016 I drove my Focus RS with cup2s from KY to Myrtle beach. I don't think they are as bad in the wet as some people do. Just take it easy. BUT I had a flat while driving through the mountains. ( took a slight detour through the tail of the dragon ). Cup 2 are soft and pickup nails etc. easily. Just be prepared. As much as I hate fix a flat, it got me there.

Congratulations and best of luck.
Thanks for the information.

Totally agree! Other than the tramlining which I am accustomed to after owning a gt350 I really don't mind them.

Pick yourself up a tire plug kit and you will be good to go!

Now that had to be nerve-racking as hell. I wanted a gt350 heritage edition before the Mach 1 but could never find one. So far I have no complaints... I see that you own both...Which one do you like the best?

in short, if I could only own one - the Mach 1. simply because of the peace of mind that comes with the coyote vs the voodoo. if the voodoo was as durable as the 5.0, GT350 all day

biggest pros for the GT350 are the unique sound and looks. the front of the gt350 is just more aggressive looking imo plus the cobra badges are a nice touch as well as the 200mph speedo.

biggest con for the 350, besides questionable longevity of the engine, is that it is basically sleeping below 3,500rpms and didn't wake up til 4k.. still breaking in the mach 1, but from what others are saying it should be a bit more lively below 4k rpms

the Mach 1 is so close in every regard to the GT350, just with a different look and sound. not really losing anything performance wise by going with Mach 1 vs GT350, just gaining peace of mind - which is exactly why I traded my magnetic 350 for the mach 1

biggest thing that the Mach 1 is lacking is the heads up shift light that projects onto the windshield. that's the biggest surprise and complaint I'd have with the stock mach 1, which isn't too big of a deal. also not a huge fan of the cue ball shifter, but I'm throwing on the modified GT350 knob to remedy that

I had a 17 oxford white gt350 and the engine unknowns scared me to sell. The Mach1 IMO is the best of both worlds too and does well as a daily driver. I do miss the high revs and the Chewbacca scream but the handling is pretty much the same. The 2020 heritage pkg is a very nice choice!

You can stop by the "tail of the dragon" too...Well worth it if you do it during the week.
It will be on the list of things to do. The last time I did that was in a 4 banger 5 speed Tacoma. It was a blast😂😂

Well guys, I have cancelled my order and started the process of purchasing N1850.

Well Congratulation on your new ride!! Glad everything worked out for you!!

I ordered mine thru Granger last November and build date weeks have moved forward
and backwards and the latest info from Ford Performance has a built day of 7/27. Maybe
that works out but we will see.

I do plan on driving it back to Arizona, a little over 1450 miles and do about 400 miles a
day. No cruise control and vary the pace for break-in. My wife will be with me, and we
will get to see some of the great country we haven't. I will put on Track Armour to protect
the paint and hope for the best. Am getting a spare tire and wheel to fit the Brembo's but
that won't be with me. I have a spare set of Ford HP wheels (from Levittown) already and
will be putting P4S on them and save the Cup2's and wheels for track days.

You should drive your Mach 1 home and enjoy the drive time!

P/S: Mine is a A10 so my wife can enjoy the ride too!

Thank you, the more I speak with people the drive home might be the way I do it.
I hope you get your car, so you and your wife can enjoy the drive.

You can probably ship your spare tire to Granger for the drive home. I know last year several people did that. Just ask Zach if it's okay. If not, you might at least want a tow hook in case you need to be towed.

You and your wife will love the car and trip across the country. Enjoy and post pictures!

Your build is scheduled for the day after mine and if all plays out right, we'll be at Granger at the same time. We are planning almost the exact same trip, only to Nor Cal.

We'll have at least one longer (600 mile) day, driving from Saint Joseph to Denver. Figuring on lots of pit stops (at least every 2 hours) to cool things off and getting a really early start to avoid some of the heat of the day. We are also planning on staying in Denver and SLC two nights, just to look around and visit friends.

My hopeful target pickup date is Aug. 27, but we'll see how that goes.

The first/next thing I'm waiting for is "built" email, so I can get a financing quote from USAA locked in. Locks in the rate for 45 days, which unfortunately, we might need all of that time. I want to have it in my pocket before I get to the dealer, and before rates go up, again.
