so, quite frankly I'm not mechanically gifted in any way shape or form...

that's what I had installed... dealership is saying noise coming from the rear differential... would that likely be due to the steeda stuff?
welp, took the Mach 1 in today to get PS4 tires put on; ended up they are tearing apart the rear end..
I noticed a faint noise in the rear end when letting off the gas, thought might by a synchro issue? dealer took a listen to it and agrees something isn’t right.. so here goes
Didn’t dyno before, but plenty of others have and a stock m1 puts down about 408-410 hp. So a solid 40 hp pickup at the wheels
you can definitely notice the difference
with the gt350 CAI (removes carbon trap + the air intake resonator), h-pipe, and headers i put down 451hp
switching back to stock exhaust (sounds closer to stock sounding tone wise but still ample volume increase) there was no real change to the hp
I had it dyno’d at the shop
to gain hp and...
I would start with the headers first and then gauge the sound.. if you find yourself wanting more then proceed.. it’s much harder to revert back to original/stock than to do the resonator delete afterwards
finally got the header/exhaust setup figured out this week...
swapped the H-pipe stock setup with another M1 that had the stock resonator still...
he's happy and so am I...the stock resonator really brought the tone back with the headers and volume isn't nascar loud anymore
the long journey...
hadn't even known you could adjust the valve positions, appreciate the insight! might have to end up going down that route depending what works out
right now, I have two options I'm working on for getting a full stock catback with the resonator. for me personally, I want to eliminate some of...
easiest way is just to unscrew the cap, leave the hoses attached, and soak up what little there is with a paper towel.. been the quickest way for me at least
and that’s the route I’m headed hopefully.. I wasn’t planning on headers, something I decided to do after adding the h pipe. otherwise I would have left the exhaust stock as well. Love the sound of your car from the wash video you posted, that’s what sold me on the headers
Unfortunately, I tossed the original resonator.. plus the cut jobs are never the cleanest
Wonder if they use the same resonators as the GTs and all? guess I need to call ford to find out..
any of you have a full factory Mach 1 exhaust for sale?
with the headers, I think I need to go back to having the resonator on.. it basically doubled the volume of the H pipe resonator delete. would prefer to get a full solid exhaust vs clamping a resonator back in
not sure if any of you...
