need some advice/input..

bought a 2020 gt350 hp, tech, etc.. has 4K miles on it now. not expecting my M1 anti-matter gray, hp, tremec, etc to be built at this point.

question is: local dealer has a fully loaded fighter jet gray in stock - elite, hp, appearance, tremec.. asking a markup but can get that lowered to a price point I can live with. all and all, about an equal trade on the 350 to M1..

do I part with the 350 for my second choice color? Keep the 350 and hope no issues ever arise down the road? Or hold out to see if my #1 color choice happens to get built?

also of interest, anyone have any time behind the wheel of a 350 and a M1? any regrets? i absolutely love the 350, just will always be the engine concern in the back of my mind. the M1 would alleviate that, just not sure if I’ll forever regret parting with the 350?
If that's a heritage 350, I'd hold it. You're looking at two very similar cars but the Coyote being a bit more reliable. If I had the 350 already, I'd keep it.

so I have a heritage 350 with 14 delivery miles on it - that's an investment and just sitting undriven...

the one I'd be selling would be the magnetic gray 350 that I do drive. so if I get the mach 1, I'd still have a pristine heritage 350 to look at (but not drive). basically, be trading out my drivable car

I mean you seem like you cant get over the 350 Engine Thing, so go for the M1.

I would enjoy the GT350 and wait to see if your Mach1 gets built, or are you just that bored? Seems like an easy way to have fun over the summer in my book.

I orderd a base M1 non-HP from Granger on 4/21/22 and have a scheduled build date week of 8/15. Hopefully it happens.
Congrats, and sorry, and it is not your fault, but that is totally F-ed Up, considering how many 2021 reorders still don't have build dates.

If you track the car, Mach 1 all day. If street driving, spirited driving I'd stick with the 350. That redline is juicy. I need a tune on my Mach 1 because the 7400 rpm redline isn't high enough having the GT350 manifold.

The Mach 1 is incredible on the street even with the handling pack. It's a very refined car in normal mode and feels great changing over to sport+.

Buy the M1 immediately. Yes I have time behind the wheel of both. Unless your main purpose for the car is driving big tracks with long straights, and unless you have plenty of money for your next Voodoo motor, buy the M1.

I was trying to figure out how it hit $69,000 MSRP. My loaded 22 was $67,000.
Literally every option including 10-speed plus all the increases during the year. It’s sad that’s $9k more than my 700A Tremec car and I added the HP for way, way less.

Price increases. Mine was 66680, w/o stick/recaros/rear seat delete

I was thinking it was the opposite - track the 350 and street the mach. I never plan on tracking the cars, which is why I was thinking the mach would be better for street. the 350 is asleep until it hits 4k rpms

appreciate the insight. the "next" voodoo motor is what has me leaning towards the mach. just the peace of mind.. thinking that's the way I'm gonna go. going in to work out the numbers tomorrow, see if things can line up

Yeah, it might have better road manners and the low end torque is better. It's a tough call. Both are just such great cars. Since you have the other 350 I say go for the Mach 1. You won't be disappointed.

not bored in any way.. just have very low hopes of my car getting built - dealer hasn't been very useful or helpful in trying to get it pushed into production. 2 weeks ago he put in a call to his ford rep...followed up with him last weekend, only response was "still working on it"

I've been slowly leaning more and more towards swapping for the mach and I don't want to wait until September/October and miss the window of being able to find a car with the exact specs (minus the color, its #2 option).

biggest thing I am realizing as time goes on, is the peace of mind with the motor hasn't come yet and I don't think it will. kind of would like to get rid of that back of the mind thought that's always there when hammering down
