lots of similiar parts between M1 and GT500 that EB and GT do not share. could be much of the issue.
Yes, but heated and cooled seats are shared for all trim levels. The HP M1 was not scheduled to start until March 21. So all the HP components have been sitting in the top secret area of Ford waiting on the Cup 2 tires.

Now we are seeing delays, basically for chip shortages, which none of the HP items require chips. Ford kept producing the EB and GT, knowing they have all these HP orders sitting since last year, and not one person had the light bulb go off in their head, to say hey we cannot use these chips on those cars, we have orders that need to be filled, especially after we bombed it to hell and back last year.

These are some of the common sense things that run through my head, when I see all the delays on orders with deposits, Im not in any way saying that the guy who orders a EB or GT, is less of a priority. To them that is the car they are dreaming about, just like me and my mystical M1.

OK, rant over for now......

You have a bad experience with Chapman? I'm genuinely curious because I've only heard good things about them on here, which is why I ordered from them in the first place
Long story short M1 came misconfigured, dealer blames Ford. Zero effort from both parties to rectify the situation short of starting the process all over. Despite my frequent emails no-one there seemed to notice the discrepancies. Car was resold with ADM, in retrospect I should have resold it myself, thought I was being honorable not "flipping" it. Vehicle was probably a part of the 1st 100. Likely re-order will never arrive, and Ive spent thousands based on the 1st order arrival. Never again, covid or not. At this point this order is now my backup option

Wow, sorry that happened to you — surprising to hear after all their good reviews on here too. Hope your order comes in soon and in the right config this time.

They shouldn't be less of a priority, but I've seen a couple people who ordered on here in early to mid March get May build dates while we're sitting here with jack shit.

And we are getting this from the company that wants to move to an order-based system. Lmao

Wow, that's no good. I take you never received a preview order v100 to confirm that you got the correct options. That is the first thing I got from Granger right after I made my deposit. Hope all works out this year

This is what really burns me up. It's the same with broncos, some people order recently and got them quickly, even with problematic options, while some first day orders are still waiting.

That's the kind of treatment that shows you why an order based system won't work in the long run. Ford has some hot desirable vehicles right now, but that won't last forever.

The problem is the dealer system. Something within that system impacts priority of orders. No matter what they say.

For whatever reason, it's just not a priority to fix. They're satisfied screwing customers for the moment because some other idiot (me apparently) will line up.

Eventually I'm sure Ford will need another bailout, I'm sure I'll have to pay my bully again when they inevitably screw up their success.

I was going to bring that up. They don't plan on 100% retail orders, but limiting the number of cars on lot to half the amount of days supply as now. They are doing it to keep from having to offer discounts to move inventory, but my local dealers can't keep Mustangs, F150s or Broncos on the lot now. Even when they get the chips and supplies needed, this last 6 months or so have shown that Ford's customer service isn't up for the task yet.

I saw on Ford Authority this morning that they sold 13,980 Mustangs in Q1, but Flat Rock was down 4 or more weeks during that time. I wish they had the production numbers to see if they came close to building that many in Q1 to keep pace. Q2 production isn't starting off very well either, with Flat Rock closed this week, and a possibility they'll be down all of April.

Hopefully everyone gets their orders in the near future…. If mine ever gets scheduled I’ll post it here with the dealer contact info for you all. Being an early October order I thought it would be scheduled with some priority once it became unscheduled clean. What really pissed me off was having a nearly 6 month old order getting beat by recent GT and Ecoboost dealer stock orders when my order was unscheduled clean way before their orders! Combined with all the global supply chain issues (I see a lot as project manager/supervisor/engineer at a power plant) and conflict in Ukraine and potential issues there really irritated me even more seeing them d!CJ around.

Fwiw Brandon Ford here in Tampa has about 4 fully loaded GT PP magnarides on their way from a March build. I shudder to see what the ADM will be but if I didn’t have a VIN and build date I’d probably be reconsidering one of these

Car was built 1/21. Waiting something. Pushed 2x. Now 3/21 to 3/27.
Pushed for 3rd time to first week of April, ship to dealer.

I'll contact Granger tomorrow, but I expect a 4th push. The lack of communication is maddening. I get that there are supply issues, but failure to proactively keep customers in the loop is unacceptable.
Well Granger still shows it waiting shipment to them. They must be waiting for more cars to ship. Still it is a bit of a joke. Let the customer wait until we want to ship it. It's been there for months now. What a CF.

Is it the Tremec that's causing the problems maybe? BC a PP with magna ride is pretty much a Mach 1 without the Tremec (and HP for those of you with that option).

If there was an issue with the Tremec they should just say so. Although I doubt it, they're delivering Mach 1s when they feel like it.

Nah, a lot of the guys on here who have been waiting a while ordered automatics, so it’s probably not that.

Maybe there's a shortage of vynil decals, haha.

I guess I just assumed everyone was getting the Tremec, that was the big draw and justification for me. Although I could see HP and those sweet sweet Cup 2s being a selling point.

This is really frustrating. I was hoping for something this week.
