That stupid email didn't even actually apologize, it tried to sound understanding but basically said "hey, we know you want this car but you need to wait, it's complicated, you wouldn't understand anyways."Preach. It's not like it's part constraints either, considering that I've seen at least 3 different GT PP Mustangs with Magneride on this forum get scheduled when they were ordered well after mine and others in this thread.
We don't even get a peep out of Ford as to when we can expect our cars except for some email that really doesn't say anything except "sorry for the delays lmao"
with a reservation to a padded room dug into the bowels of the new Design Center? She said it’s a number you get from Ford Customer Service
PP1 MR != Mach1 MR parts.I've seen at least 3 different GT PP Mustangs with Magneride on this forum get scheduled when they were ordered well after mine and others in this thread.
that can be highly misleading. See they may have had to scrap all the wafers they had in-process. If so it often means 2 weeks before chips come dribbling out again. Depending on the quake they may have to replace precision optics or at least re-focus/calibrate them. They may well not have in-house staff to do these things. Worse if air-tables and lead-screws got cracked/bent. Then the whole machine has to come out and be replaced (3 month lead?) if parts are not able to be shipped in for rebuild. Also that the Japanese chip plants were only down for 3 days after the earthquake.
Having come from the Porsche pdks, let me assure you that dct transmissions are the way to go in a sports car, notwithstanding the stick shift puristsJust sent in C8 order, we'll see who's faster... unfortunately no manual on the C8!
It was implied if not openly stated that it would be a 2 year run. I think that assumes the s650 would be following right behind it. If theres a delay on that front who knows what ford does. If ford keeps reducing the power levels of the Mach 1 each year the ‘23 buyers might as well have a flintstones cutout in the floorI think I read somewhere that there’s going to be a 2023 Mach 1??

and 2024 at this rate. Ford Mgmt should just hold off on S650 till the world is back on it's feet IMO. It's not like the S550 is sucking hind teet. Things we wish Ford would fix aren't likely to get fixed in S650 because a competent sports car wasn't part of the design brief.I think I read somewhere that there’s going to be a 2023 Mach 1??
I don't plan on racing this on the streets so a manual will keep me more engaged to the car. Probably track 1-4 times a year.Having come from the Porsche pdks, let me assure you that dct transmissions are the way to go in a sports car, notwithstanding the stick shift purists
