Preach. It's not like it's part constraints either, considering that I've seen at least 3 different GT PP Mustangs with Magneride on this forum get scheduled when they were ordered well after mine and others in this thread.

We don't even get a peep out of Ford as to when we can expect our cars except for some email that really doesn't say anything except "sorry for the delays lmao"
That stupid email didn't even actually apologize, it tried to sound understanding but basically said "hey, we know you want this car but you need to wait, it's complicated, you wouldn't understand anyways."

Might as well have said "hey moron, we know you're dumb because you ordered from Ford AFTER the whole Bronco debacle, so we're not going to worry about you."

PP1 MR != Mach1 MR parts.

Also that the Japanese chip plants were only down for 3 days after the earthquake.
that can be highly misleading. See they may have had to scrap all the wafers they had in-process. If so it often means 2 weeks before chips come dribbling out again. Depending on the quake they may have to replace precision optics or at least re-focus/calibrate them. They may well not have in-house staff to do these things. Worse if air-tables and lead-screws got cracked/bent. Then the whole machine has to come out and be replaced (3 month lead?) if parts are not able to be shipped in for rebuild.

I asked for the bump in priority, along with some additional explanations. More to come.

Just sent in C8 order, we'll see who's faster 😅... unfortunately no manual on the C8!
Having come from the Porsche pdks, let me assure you that dct transmissions are the way to go in a sports car, notwithstanding the stick shift purists

To all those who got their orders canceled last year and are now seeing others jump ahead of you, let me say that I understand your frustration with Ford. I don’t understand why you guys were not prioritized. My only remote experience like this was when the Mini Cooper S that I ordered got destroyed by the truck carrier. It took a couple of months for Mini to get me a replacement all the way from the UK. Right now Porsche is prioritizing the orders for those owners who lost their cars in the ship fire. I remember last year that Ford said something to the effect to prioritize the canceled orders (I may be wrong). In any event that is not a good way to keep long term clients happy

I stopped by my dealership on the way home (the Sales Manager placed my order, so that’s who I talked to). He said I’m unscheduled- clean, and I was moved from Priority 19 to 11. He just took another order for a GT, and their priority was -80-!!!!. He said once it’s scheduled, I can get a commit number, then my friend said she would take a picture of it on the line (cool).

It was implied if not openly stated that it would be a 2 year run. I think that assumes the s650 would be following right behind it. If theres a delay on that front who knows what ford does. If ford keeps reducing the power levels of the Mach 1 each year the ‘23 buyers might as well have a flintstones cutout in the floor :cwl:

and 2024 at this rate. Ford Mgmt should just hold off on S650 till the world is back on it's feet IMO. It's not like the S550 is sucking hind teet. Things we wish Ford would fix aren't likely to get fixed in S650 because a competent sports car wasn't part of the design brief.

And if S650 has a major price jump, releasing into a tsunami of world-wide depression is going to kill sales. Whereas S550 is been bought and paid for many times over.

I don't plan on racing this on the streets so a manual will keep me more engaged to the car. Probably track 1-4 times a year.

I ordered a vehicle pre-COVID. Went to the dealer, did the business of specs and wants for the ordering process. I waited and waited and waited. I was given the vin and regular BS emails. Come to find out in the end the dealer made the order through the dealership which was subjected to the allocations and commodity process. Oh they attached my name to it as pre sold and with my email, but it wasn’t a customer order if that makes sense. I saw it on the shipping papers left inside the car at pickup because it was closing time on a long weekend when if finally arrived. I just wonder, not as an expert of course, that some of you are experiencing similar things. It would account for why some are jumping in front of others without reason. Like I said, I’m not an expert but I did have similar issue. Don’t kill your dealer in my name, but the problem might not be with big Ford. But then again!

Thinking more and more about giving up the dream here. Im predicting may or June build myself. If I find another brand, I am selling this one here for $60k (normally $65k+ at dealer) if you have yet to place an order. Manual, shadow black, brembo, 700A, non-hp. Pm me if interested.
