Seems like all the cancelled 21’ HP orders are getting scheduled for the May builds and not the new orders, that’s fine and I’m glad but damn the wait is hard

With all these delays, might be the last Ford I order or buy. Ordered a Mach 1 on 11/01, no VIN no build date, ended up buying a 2021. Have a 2018 F-150, new models are 8 months out and/or delayed further. 2017 Lincoln MKZ, no more sedans from Ford. Ordered the wife a 2022 GT Premium convertible on 10/12, no VIN no build date, bought her a 2021 that had some, but not all, the options she wanted. If this is Ford's new buying experience, thanks but no thanks, going elsewhere next time. I'm done!

I just posted in another thread that they often run into Fridays when scheduling. I haven't seen any week of May 16 builds listed here yet, have you? Might happen Friday.

If you don't hear anything tomorrow, they post every Friday which weeks they are scheduling the following Thursday, and there could be overlap? There are two more weeks in May too, May 23 and May 31. Monday May 30 is Memorial Day, short week.

It's not just Ford, many other brands suffer the same. There's 1 year wait for some ordinary VW concern cars too.

Funny, people have been waiting for euro mustangs for 9+ months even before the crisis...

Sales numbers last two years have been about 1000+ a week.

It's not the delays it's how its being handled. As we saw Japanese automakers did a good job of stocking parts. I can easily get any model Honda or Toyota right now. For the non-preppers automakers they have offered future retrofit on parts. Ford and Tesla by far have taken the worst road on this.

it really is all car manufacturers, just the extent varies.

got a build date yesterday for an F150 that had been ordered in December for a work truck.

the wife's honda van also ordered in December, still has no expected build/delivery date...was initially told end of February when the order was placed.

no car manufacture is above the shortages currently going on

As of this moment, my dealer confirmed that my order is still, "unschedued-clean". Not sure if its happening for May.

Me too, I called Ford Performance. He did say they scheduled a lot of Mustangs yesterday, including GT500's. There are still the weeks of May 23rd and 31st they haven't started on yet.

It looks like they schedule the same weeks multiple times normally. We will find out soon though.

My dealer stated, that because my order was the fist one of their allocations for 2022, Im all but certain to get it built. Not sure if there is any merit in that, as I do not know any dealers personally.
