Something specific in the order you're interested in?
You have to understand, there are guys with 21's that were cancelled and guys like me who ordered in October, who only have a confirmation of the order.

I don't think anyone is calling you out, just wanting an explanation of you having ordered an HP this year and already have a VIN and build date.

If you go back and research the threads, this is a touchy subject, especially for the guys who had an order cancelled after waiting months on end with nothing.

I've provided that. On the tracking site the order confirmation is shown as Jan 27 22. I earlier posted that as Feb 21 as that was the date I got the email from the dealer with the order number and VIN. I use the order and VIN to access the tracking site. The build date is not shown in the tracking site. The dealer has sent me 2 emails with build dates- first was April 4, then April 8. Maybe both are BS. I don't know. I realize I'm new here and seem to be hitting a nerve.
that’s why I’m asking for screenshots, actual visual proof.
I am by no means upset with you, but with Ford. For them scheduling new orders over 9-10 month old orders over seats, or whatever, instead of offering the option to those old ass orders to change.

I read an article today that Ford has started giving people the option with a discount to take the car with missing chips. When the chips arrive , up to a year long wait toy will be notified and scheduled for it to be installed.

The article only mentioned SUV's, but I don't see why this would not work for all of the models. Again, its only the chips for comfort items like the heat and cool seat.

Fair enough. I'll just wait and see what happens. if the car shows up great, if not will just move on.

Ford seems really poorly equipped to handle these part shortages and doesn't really have a method of communicating parts hold well. It would be nice if I could at least check my order is clean all the time without requiring a dealer. Reaching out to orders older than a few months and saying "we can schedule you this week if you change X" would be a really nice touch.

No one else has dates.

mans if recaros are the fucking delay then Ford needs to let us know and give us the option to upgrade. I’ll pay the extra to get the car I’ve been waiting on for almost a year. 🤬
Yeah it sucks. I just know last spring and summer when all of us guys that were waiting on 700A HP’s were getting delays, HP Recaro cars were showing up for sale at dealers.

The nerve is directed at Ford. It just seems very odd for a car ordered months later than others to:

1) Be scheduled within a couple days of order confirmation
2) Be scheduled in February considering “late availability” and at time when most handling package cards were on material hold.
3) Be scheduled ahead of high priority reorders

I hope you get the car and your dealer entered the order correctly, but it seems to be an anomaly. Maybe 600A combined with non heated/cooled seats has it in a sweet spot even with the handling package.

No question. I think @WCRookie99 got a 600A HP car that he ordered way later than some of us but took delivery before us, maybe he can confirm, I ordered 3/19/2021 and got the car 10/9/2021.

FWIW I just went through the pics of 22's on autotrader. Around half are premium non recaros. It doesn't seem like the seats themselves are a huge roadblock. That's very biased to recaro vs the polls on here but maybe dealers figure people want recaros in a lot car and order them that way.

No rhyme or reason to that either. I ordered what you described above and have only an email indicated my order was received

That’s why I’m asking for screen shots. I don’t think it has the handling pack on it.

GT500s are getting vins and dates. I Think we're getting screwed again this year. Ford is gonna build either GT500s for more margin, or more cars with lower options (i.e. a base HP M1 and a 700A non HP M1 instead of a 700A HP M1) again.

I would bet he does NOT have the HP. Like 98% sure of it.

so, long form, why I think I (we) are getting screwed again:

Last year, when the shortages hit, across multiple components, they determined they could build x amount of the ordered 700A HP cars, or the same amount of 600A HP cars since tires were a constraint, and the same amount of 700A non HP cars, since there was another constraint (seats, lighting, steering wheels, who knows...)

up to now, the constraint reason was tires. But GT500s are getting vins/orders, and their order books where after ours for 2022. So, it seems Ford is again (as a business, it makes sense, I get it) allocating as many GT500 high margin orders as possible, the remaining cup 2 tires will go to 600A M1 HP cars so that they do not have to take resources away from non HP 700A M1 cars.. and the M1 700A HP orders get yet again, screwed, because filling our order would cause them to lose out on an extra car at the end of the day.

Also, having a VIN doesn't mean squat. I had a VIN since May of last year and still got canceled in October.
