Arrived with railcar damage
Basically needs the whole front redone and the rear repainted as well.

so what is going to happen now? what sucks is we lose out on the deals if we pass on accepting a damaged/fixed car. they wont just match the deal from their inventory. buying a new car these days is so dumb, the process .

They submit a claim to ford about the damage and it goes to the body shop an they fix it up. Then it’s up to me if I want to still buy the car or pass on it.

Just went on the site again. Either a great photoshop or they took new photos in front of the dealership.
There are 11 "Reserved" and another 8 plus a couple GT500's in their inventory

Looks like our cars are sitting at Chapman together! Got the same email yesterday!

My Mach 1 order arrived at Chapman last Friday. I will be picking up the car this Saturday. It will be 1 year to the week since I placed the order. I thought I was hosed for sure until I received an August build date. Since the car arrived on Friday, Chapman has been very accommodating in scheduling a time for pick up.

I hate reading about those folks getting their orders cancelled. It feels like 2021 all over again. My advice is to get a 2023 order in as quickly as possible.

10/21 BUILD date would fit for 10/12 IN PRODUCTION.

The order tracker just updated for my car today I think and now shows as "In Production". No window sticker available yet.

So far my timeline:
08/10 - Ordered
09/19 - Scheduled
10/12 - "In Production"

Though my salesperson said that the build date was 10/21, so dunno if he transposed or if the status just changes ahead of that.

I also ordered from Chapman and have production scheduled for week of October 17.

For those of you picking up at Chapman - how is their new car prep? Are you having them remove plastic wrap etc? Just don’t want any swirl marks before I even get the car.

Chapman’s prep is not to great. Black plastic between the tail lights was scratched up on mine. Took it home without saying anything to them. Buffed it out myself because I didn’t want them messing it up any worse than what they already did. If I had to do it over again, I would have told them to not even touch it. They also had their sticker on the back which I had them remove before I left and the tires had 42 psi in them.
