Right, but your car still needs to be registered, with or without a loan. If Ford had dedicated procedures for registering cars in every state that they wanted dealers to follow, you wouldn't think whether there was a loan would matter, and it would apply to every type of sale, but hell if I know.

I guess technically it does not if you pay with cash etc or don’t want to pay up front for the registration. In his case he would just need to make sure it was done and had proof before his temp plates expire is all. As far as registration that’s just showing proof that plates were paid for whatever state he lives in. The dealer and customer have paperwork showing the vehicle was purchased so he would just have to present that if pulled over and asked for registration.

Or you can pay 70-80k at a dealer or roll the dice and potentially get a 2022 or get it canceled. In today's market, that car will sell pretty fast.

Yeah, that could make some sense, though in that case, seems strange that cerbomark avoided having them do this paperwork.

Fingers crossed that I get my plates and tag soon. I can't stop joyriding this car, but it's starting to feel a bit uneasy having that "CHAPMAN" dealer plate, not even temp plates. And I just got a ceramic tint installed, so I REALLY don't want to get pulled over and have to roll my windows down lol.

I drove my Mach for a month with just the Granger transit tag here in Texas. No one looked twice.

Same after reading those comments and going back. I’m surprised it wasn’t making any noise or just flat out didn’t feel right driving. Can’t believe dealership didn’t mention anything or ask about having them removed before vehicle delivery. That’s about as bad as them leaving tires overinflated
