I traded in my 21 GT for a GT500 2020. During the initial test drive the alignment was extremely bad, pulling right. They said they fixed it but it is better but still doesnt seem right. I bought the car from Chevy but since I am new to the GT500 I believe I still shouldn't fight the wheel. My thoughts are the wide tires will do this but always pull right still. Also Anyone that has a GT500 or had one, let me know what issues you have done through, looking for extended warranty soon. Thoughts? Car has 7k miles thanks for any responses.

Tramlining will follow the road and pull in either direction, yes. Not favor one side or the other.

What are the existing rim, tires sizes? Stock? Tire brand and type?

Any aftermarket suspension parts on the car that you're aware of?

You mention the alignment and corrections. Are the existing tires worn evenly? Any chance the dealer saw the tires, made the corrections, but left any unevenly worn tires on the car?

If the rims and tires appear well, I'd pay a shop to take readings and confirm settings. Establish a baseline and perform a general inspection.

Edit,

If the tires are found to be uneven, you'd need a new set, then have the car re-aligned on those. Even after things appear correct and working well, I'd continue to monitor tread depth with a gauge and/or visual checks.

Go to a Ford dealership and have it redone. Yes there may be some tramlining, but not bad. It is most prevalent when there are uneven surfaces on the road. Get it aligned, and take it out on a flat level road and reevaluate

Go for an alignment, report back with results.

Just to clarify. Is it a pull (you let go of the wheel and it goes hard to the right), or a drift (you let go of the wheel and it takes its time coming back to the right)?

This. Post up the results.

Caster is not adjustable (unless you have aftermarket caster/camber plates). It is possible that rear toe is way off on one side. Could also pull some if camber is very high on one side, and almost none on the other.

I will be getting Ford to take a better look since it is a Ford and the Chevy guys might not know specs well, all good.

Yeah, let go of the wheel and it pulls to the right mildly now. Before it was like I could let go with right signal and switch lanes lol.

Carfax came back just fine.

Seems better yes on even roads, where I can find them but still iffy.

I will need to verify the tread, they looked fine for 7k miles. Rims are 20's 305 fronts, 315 rears. Cup 2's.

Thanks! Loving the car, just want to make sure its all good.
Ford service isn't the end all gospel, but as you said, they aren't Chevy.

A y qualified alignment shop can do the work. You have the settings in your owners manual.

Have them go over all suspension components. I once trusted a guy and he didn't put a major bolt in.

Good luck

I would take it to an actual alignment shop to get it checked.

Curious as to what you determined - alignment wise?
