In my 2020 gt auto i feel the same way sometimes, but, i also think the exhaust has something to do with that perception. In loud modes it makes enough noise that i find i dont drive it as hard so as to not be annoying all the time, but it also 'feels slow'. I tend to drive it harder in quiet mode, which isnt that quiet in that case.

When I'm at the catch point, yes. I give it a little throttle for a smooth gear change.

The auto is a 10 speed, that'll rev the car way more often and in more gears than you will in a manual. This engine is designed to rev.

I don't mean this offensively but are you not good at driving stick? This car has a lot of torque management and clutch/transmission protection built in. With all the nannies on, if you have a bad engagement, the pcm kills the power output to protect the drivetrain. The car feels like it has virtually no toraue after that.
I don't have a lot of experience but if you go by the book my clutch release and the shifting is pretty accurate . I think my main issue is I'm not used to revving out any of my cars and I've always had automatics as daily driver so maybe that's why I'm a little hesitant to rev out this car and also I get worried what if I burn out the clutch or abuse the drive train. I need to over come those fears

I was planning on picking up a set of Project 6GRs this spring, and the larger 305/35/20s would effectively make the gear ratio on my 2018 even taller, which I dont want.
why on earth would you mount 305/35? practically nobody makes those. 305/30.

Probably because 30 series tires ride like ass I'd assume. I have some 6GR's I plan to put 285/35/20 on the front and 305/35/20 on the back. What's so bad about a 305/35? Also pretty much every major brand makes 305/35.

If the clutch is fully engaged then you won't have to worry about it. Even dumping the clutch and having the tires spin isn't as hard on the car as you'd think. It's when you do a high rpm launch with sticky tires and everything hooks up. That's a lot of force being instantly applied to any part of the vehicle.

But ya that's normal. I just drove my girlfriend's cavalier and with barely any throttle input the car wouldn't hesitate to spin the engine up to about 4k to accelerate. But because the car is so quiet you wouldn't be able to tell from the outside. Definitely not like a Mustang GT with an aftermarket exhaust that has everyone thinking you're trying to race even though you're shifting at 3k. You have more control with the manual so it's up to you to apply that extra throttle.

Less selection sure, but Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, Conti, Yokohama, BF Goodrich, Firestone all make tires in that size, that's not practically nobody

This is normal. I feel the same about my 2019 Bullitt, as you do your GT and I have a 3.73 gear out back. The car just doesn’t come alive until 4K rpm and higher. Anything below that feels very sluggish.if you really want to wake your car up on the low end, install a 4.56 gear in the differential, or add a Whipple supercharger.
Wow not until 4k rpm? Mine comes in sooner than that. From a standing start, when it hits about 2500 rpm at WOT, the tires slip and hop like crazy. I've always had 4 cylinder engines before this Mustang, except the Chevelle back in high school. I shouldn't have to rev out a V8 all the time to enjoy it. I was getting tired of "drive it like you stole it" attitude of 4 cylinder engines, which is why I moved to a V8. In fact my Evo's power kicks in at 3K.

Traction control robs so much timing and power if you have the base chintzy 235 width tires. Turn it completely off and roll into the throttle, you spin through the lower gears but it accelerates so much better. These cars need good meats.
True, but with traction control off mine slips and hops like crazy, car shakes, not really going anywhere. It finally grabs once it starts moving, but not until after a few seconds. Tires are 255 BTW.

Yeah, I imagine having the 120 mm PMAS CAI kit and 1 7/8” LTH robs my car of torque down low. I gotta wait until 4K for mine to really wake up. I presume that’s why my tuner instructed me to turn nitrous on at 4K instead of 3.5K like I‘d done with other cars in the past.

I did not read the whole thread but looking at it from an old muscle car owner and a person trying to learn all I can about tuning these slugs, is Ford crippled the electronic throttle. I think the executives at Ford have kids who watch you tube, then they show Daddy the videos of mustangs getting wrapped around trees. So they tell the engineers to make it stop.

Hence the 400 HP car that feels like a 250 HP car.

Sounds like you're missing the stop the hop mods.

The new Mustangs are high reving small blocks(displacement speaking) they demand rpm to take advantage of air flow thru those 4 valves. You "think" you have 3:55's, maybe you don't. Gears will wake up the manual for less $ than turbos or S/C. The 19+ cars tranny gears are really not good for low end, or anything other than better gas mileage. If I were to mod mine, it would be gears, axels and lighter wheels first, along with Stop the hop kit from Steeda. Drive it hard when safe to do so, "teach" the computer a more aggressive driving style rather than lugging it around. Anyhow, enjoy it and be safe.
What gear ratio would you recommend. Also what is the average cost of this?

4.09’s can be had from Ford Performance, other companies offer a 4.56 and I think a 4.8 ish.

Mine will be a while before it goes in :
