2018 vs 2020 GT

I have herd the 2020 model engines have less problems than the 2018 - 2019 engines , is this correct ? Or they just the same ? . Thanks

It's the same. The transmission is a different story, at least with the manual. 2018 has aluminum shift forks, mid 2019 and up went back to steel which is a lot more durable.

There are no liners, it is a sprayed in alloy called PTWA.
My '21 engine is dead quiet at idle and the trans shifts really well... very impressed. Granted not "rifle action" like a T56, or miata I had but certainly not what I was hearing a lot about. I expected the worst and then test drove the car before I bought it, willing to walk away and it surprised me.

Go to this forum on here, at the very top of that forum there are (2) stickies regarding the Coyote:

The one sticky contains the info about the plasma arc lining, the other contains all of the tech specs of the Coyote variations from 2015 forward.

No only a 16 and 17 model . Was thinking of upgrading to a 18 /19 model but was warned off them to buy a 2020

No no that engine . Just miss informed aussies . By the way not many of our engines seem to have the engine tick If any , different oil we put in maybe .

There is no difference between an 18/19 or 20, or 21 engine.
