Could always look into a 400z or new Supra with manual.

I get how you feel with the car seat. I do that to my boy every morning and I'm sweating after. Keep in mind do a 4 mile run every morning and with Phoenix heat, my body doesn't cool off in time. If I forgo the run, I don't sweat puttinf him in.

from experience........

you are lying to yourself if you're sayin "well i have a family right now, i'll get another in a couple years". I sold off a twin turbo fox and my 99 yamaha R1 telling myself that. 20 yrs later I have neither a mustang or a motorcycle. my sons both grew up and got mustangs, I'm just the arbiter of performance and the local mechanic for them. I enjoy it, but it aint the same.

secondly, also from experience, never sell something you love.

I'm hardly the one to give financial advice but I'm in the same boat. My 19 pp1 is my daily, albeit still a weekend toy because I use a company provided vehicle. I love it, I told myself at 16 I need to have a fast car in my life. Half a decade without one was boring... yet I'm still here contemplating selling it, grabbing a beater, and using that money to go towards a fund I'm building up to buy a plane, once I get my private pilot's certificate.

Honestly I'm probably gonna keep it. It's here, now. Getting into another sports car will be a PITA and I'll undoubtedly end up stuck paying more than I did with my current one.

Thanks everyone. Lots of good opinions on both sides, I really appreciate all the input

I gave it a wash and wax last week, thought over what was said here, and took a drive to think it over. Really a fun car that brings me a lot of joy. Ultimately, I'm keeping it. I've got some ties to Detroit so the orange/black/Made in Detroit adds to it, too.

I called the dealer back a couple days ago, told them thanks for their time but I have to decline. They were nice - manger told me afterwards that it's a great spec and I really should hold onto it and enjoy.

We had some bad weather and now I'm out of town. Itching to get back and drive it some more, even if it's just to work!

Gorgeous car, glad you decided to keep it! Maybe I’ll see you around sometime, can’t be too many TO PP1’s in the Chicago area

I was considering the same thing. I have a 2020 Mustang GT PP1 base 300a car, but I modded it to my liking with Ford Racing parts and Katzkins and such. I was offered almost $40k for the car a couple of months back, I owed $28k on the car at the time. I had such good financing as I bought the car right when Covid hit and got 72mos at 0% interest. I finally got a hold of an allocation for a new 2023 BMW M4 base 6MT which I could get at MSRP. I passed, yes the BMW had a huge advantage as far as build quality, but the fun factor wasn't that much more if at all better than the Mustang. I just don't want to spend $76K plus on cars anymore.

My point is you will want to have a fun car to drive around, when my kids were young my car was my decompression chamber. I would take it out on rides through the canyons and have a ton of fun.

Good move on keeping it. Little fatherly advice, Put your kids car seats in the back and let them enjoy it too! My daughter loves nothing more than me giving the gt a little gas when she's in it. Thank God she's not a pussy like her older brothers. Someone needs to learn how to drive a manual so they can inherit the car! See already told me "mommy's jeep is too slow I want daddy's mustang!" Smart girl for 3 years old.

That's a nice car. I would keep it -- way better looking than the next GEN Mustang.
