There is no difference between an 18/19 or 20, or 21 engine.
Well, aside from the crank balancer. But that matters none.

Not engine, but the 2021 mustang automatic transmission has better shift points than 2018-2020.
It's the same. The transmission is a different story, at least with the manual. 2018 has aluminum shift forks, mid 2019 and up went back to steel which is a lot more durable.
A note for 2021 auto transmissions. The shift points are better.

Do you have the S550 10R80 prior year shift points to compare to the 2021?

I've posted the 2021 10R80 trans ratios in another thread, but haven't seen any facts regarding "improved shift points".

Not the ratios. The shift points at certain throttle maps with certain rpms. The transmission is tuned better stock in the 2021 from what I've read. I'm not sure how it compares to something like Lund/PBD/Ford Performance tunes, but I'm tuning my 2020 10R80 with HPTuners/Lund. The 2020 5th gear in particar always felt harsh.

21 engines also get the monotone pizza box and I believe some are getting the updated oil cap text - it all adds up ... lol

No, not confirmed yet. I thought it had been confirmed, but going back and reading that thread again I realized it was about the F150. My mistake.

Any knowledge on build dates for this? Just picked up a 19 GT and to me the transmission feels great, nowhere near the horror stories I’ve read about. First gear is a little notchy when cold, but overall feels better than the outgoing 370z did.

It's speculation. I don't think the aluminum forks shifted any worse until they broke.

I'd actually contest that but I wouldn't have an argument with a stock engine. Bolt ons, boost, tune for higher redline, I'd be more comfortable with the viscous damper.
