Both, got my VIN from the dealer and the build date by contacting Ford Performance (they also have a chat feature if you prefer).

I found out by FP. To be fair, my dealership did inform me but because I contact FP at least once a week, I already knew the information when they called me

350R Ordered place 4/20, no build info yet, "Unscheduled-Material Hold"

There have been several 350s built, with build dates or scheduled. I see no Rs at all scheduled yet. The only ones scheduled and built for the Rs were for VIPs.
Maybe this week we'll get our build quarter info.

The dealership that one of my R allocations are coming from has gotten 2017 mustangs in already.

My '17 Race Red non-R was built on the 6th and left Michigan on a railcar this morning. ETA into Atlanta is Thursday evening so it's possible I could take delivery this weekend!

I ordered 4/26. My dealer told me over the weekend that they expect to get my VIN and blend date assignment in the first week of July.

I'm in Atlanta, but after a failed 2016 deal with Nalley Ford I got my 2017 elsewhere. Love the price, hate the small market wait. :headbonk:

Damn, that's quick.

Despite my '17 being scheduled to the day of the 14th (tomorrow), it was built on Friday I'm told and is currently in the body shop. They seem to be ahead of the ball this year. Much easier when it's a carryover I'm sure. :clap2:

My order was a priority 1. As I've mentioned elsewhere, my dealer is a very small one, but when it comes to ordering Mustangs, he knows people and his chit. I'm lucky as he and I go way back to the early Saleen days.

I'm hoping I can start my car thread next week sometime!

Looks like most of the first '17 builds are non R.
I was told by a dealer they won't build '17 R until the '16 production is over.
Aren't the 16 production over yet?

'16 MY was over late May. Many Rs were built the first day of 2017 production. VIP cars only. Other than that no other R models scheduled or built.
