wow that's best you can say . Cant comprehend about what you say about wheel because it has nothing to do with this
I guess when your engine goes out and they say well it looks like you used castrol and a different oil filter like say K&N you will not be covered you will go ahead and pay it out of your pocket with a smiling face. Because a CAI is just a different Air Filter.

It just seems like you want to argue, not argue your point but to argue. There is always an opposition in everything I guess.

I can only see 2 real reasons a cold air intake could ever cause engine issues and void warranty:

1) Improper installation causing "dirt" to get into the engine, scoring cylinder walls and causing failure.
2) Poor design or custom intake which allows water in, causing hydrolock.

I doubt either of those happen with you. It's Roush, it's reputable.

Exhaust also almost never has any good reason to cause a warranty issue, especially cat-back. A lot of newer cars don't really make "extra power" off exhaust anymore, so it's not like you're gaining 50 horse and blowing the engine, just doesn't make sense at all.

Anyway, I'm sure someone may have brought up Magnuson-Moss, they need to prove these mods have voided your warranty.

Also, along with what other have said, find a better dealer.

Do the Roush cars that are sold through the dealers not have CAI's? I know the cars sold through the dealers are all still under warranty. One of the big dealers here in ATL sells all the Roush cars right off their showroom floor.

What you said talking about your wheel had nothing to do with thread. You go into calling names smart.

WHAT you don't like the truth? Don't like what tech see's or say because you think we're stupid? Guess we all should just agree Ford was screwing him. You seem to forgot to read the part he works at FORD dealership. Service manager gave him a break if you walked in there you wouldn't get the same. Here is funny part this guy put this out on open forum I'm sure ford has read this LOL. Maybe warranty not covering it but using policy money. DO you know what policy money is?

Why don't you learn to read instead of making an assumption? It does not matter if he is working for the dealer or not. The warranty needs to go through Ford regardless and Ford is deciding if they will warrant the car or not. Simple as that. It's not hard to understand. If Ford simply reject warranty they are simply saying Roush intake is causing the damage and do you think Roush is gonna be happy about it since it's one of biggest Ford performance parts retailer? Ford was not screwing him at all, it's the mechanic that was scaring him telling him HE thinks Ford will not warrant his engine.
I am not calling out names or anything but you are being unreasonable and just simply can't accept the truth because you think he should not get a new engine. Well, he did so suck it up.
FYI, my wheel replacement has everything to do with his case. It simply tells you dealers have no power deciding if something can be warranted or not.

With that reply shows you don't know what you're talking keep trying LOL.

Ford can reject warranty IF they knew about CAI. Depend how service dept works most questions about engines that have "mods" goes through manager. Then reports to Ford what they should do but Manager covered it by not telling them and gave employee a break. HOW FREAKING HARD YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT???????????????? Roush going to flip out if warranty denied because of there CAI Ford can care less. If Ford let Roush CAI go through as ok mod then they have to let all CAI be ok that's not going to happen. You saying any aftermarket part that say doesn't hurt warranty is ok. GOOD LUCK with that

Dealerships do hand in what is or is not warranty. Big things like engines, trans go through manufacturer. I wonder why we have warranty manager oh because Manufacturer gave them power to make decision on warranty things and that they know what they will get paid for and not paid for. We don't run to Manufacturer on every damn thing is this warranty or not.

FYI what does your wheel have to do with this????? oh nothing

Show me you proof that Ford will reject warranty because of CAI.
And no, just because Ford allow Roush CAI does not mean Ford will allow all CAI. It's called testing and engineering.
Ready the post OP said he is getting engine replaced not because he works there.

WELL use search button there TSB from Ford about tune and mods it list about CAI. It has been posted many many times. Ford doesn't cares who's CAI it is. He did get it replaced because he works there and service manager didn't report about CAI AKA got it covered. Open your eyes it's really not hard to see that. Next you going to tell me that NEVER happens get real it does. Put one your car see what happens or are you going to argue it's Roush LOL

You say roush CAI is ok show me the proof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Threads like these make me really scared to mod my car even thought it's still completely stock performance wise.

That doesn't prove anything. I can put links up to many other aftermarket parts are that SAY "WILL NOT VOID FACTORY WARRANTY" But there not Ford motor company, it's not approve part, wasn't tested by Ford. Here's link where this poor person with blown up 4cyl with parts that say will not void factory warranty that got denied http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35826. Think about it for 1 second they say won't void factory warranty because your not up loading a tune.

Roush doesn't control what Ford does. You're dancing around the question show me something from FORD that's say it won't.

Did even try to find TSB that Ford put out about tune and mods.
