2015 Mustang V6 Check Engine Light On

Hello Guys, Last night driving home from Graduate School my check engine light came on just out of the blue. Got home and turned off the car and turned it back on and it was still lit. Re arranged my schedule in the morning to drive me car first thing in the morning to my dealership. When i arrived my car had the check engine light on, called 8 hours later to follow up on my vehicle and the service writer is telling me that by the time his tech go to the car, there was no check engine light on. I did not have my pocket scanner with me last night or i would have scanned it prior to me taking it in. A couple days ago i noticed that i would loose brake pedal pressure as if my brakes have lost all vacuum assists


Now here are my questions. Is there away to retrieve prior codes on a vehicle ? Also how long are the PCM coded registered on the Computer ?

Here is my dilemma the stupid dealership is stating that no codes are stored in my vehicle, how can i retrieve data from my car to argue with them to find out why it came on.
