OP, sounds like you should not let that d-bag mechanic do the install of your new engine. He may not care for having his ego crushed.

Well check the GT350R intake and check the roush intake. I said i put that style intake in my car. Anyway I dont care to justify anything.Call it upgrade or mod both are the same just how you want to see it. Roush CAI doesn't look exactly the same as factory and Ford didn't build it. If it was exactly the same then why change it? I don't care you do to your car just don't complain when you get caught. We can go any car forum, every brand and any model there is someone saying MY mod or "upgrade" didn't cause my problem but they denied my warranty. This is everyday this is going on
OKAY, if you really want to get into the details, of course the bend and turbulence needs to be identical to the factory one for the MAF to read properly. Unless he got a cheap ebay crap there is no reason for the CAI to cause issues especially a Roush one. You are just being a troll like the mechanic. Just because you are a tech does not mean you know it all. I am an engineer, hah! I mean it's a CAI, it's nothing fancy. Make the tube long enough so its sucking cold air. Make the tube diameter the same as factory so the MAF knows how much air it's sucking in. If anything is out of ordinary, the ECU will show codes right away reading the O2 sensor if the ratio is fucked up due to in proper reading from the MAF.Really I thought that's where exhaust come out.
I'm a tech and I'm betting I know far more how these system work than you. SO you say as long there same dia as stock no harm no foul how did you come up with this? I bet answer is I read it internet. You put this out there have anything to back this up? More I read it on internet. Tech did his job get over it. You seem to forget he works at said dealership. Also we have no idea what there work relationship is these 2 guys may have had words at one time who knows. If he wanted to be a dick as you say he could call Ford direct, take pics of CAI and send them in. Service manager gave him a break because he WORKS there. But you know full well if you drove in off the street with engine knocking you wouldn't get the same.
Well, Ford did because they knew better and not worth a lawsuit over an engine.LOL some of guys are just plain funny. Think what you want but in the end doesn't matter what you think when it comes to warranty should or shouldn't cover Manufacturer makes the call
It's getting fixed only because the OP works at the dealer. Those were his words. And Ford isn't afraid of a lawsuit since they have more money than anyone here certainly has.Well, Ford did because they knew better and not worth a lawsuit over an engine.

I can't comprehend just how close-minded you are.Doesn't matter what Roush claims and they all claim it won't hurt warranty. Only reason why it's getting fixed because you work there. Mustang has always sold good because of price but there not going to take it in the shorts for what owners do to there car. Lemon law what because engine blew up
See how long Ford's sports car sales last if their attitude is to take things to court. Specially when the problem I am having with the car is the lowest line. It's getting fixed only because the OP works at the dealer. Those were his words. wow that's best you can say . Cant comprehend about what you say about wheel because it has nothing to do with thisI can't comprehend just how close-minded you are.
It's funny I just had Ford replaced a wheel due to manufacturing imperfection. No questions asked. Got me a new wheel.
